Full Documentary: When Björk Met Attenborough: The Nature of Music

Can we just say we could not stop smiling watching When Björk Met Attenborough last night. The warmth and kindness exuding is extraordinary to say the least. Also, it's a joy to see people wanting to communicate to people what they have discovered and at the same time also so curious to find out more. The Biophilia project is still on a world tour, the album and apps released almost two years ago now with the Android versions just released so perfect timing immersing in this documentary! Honestly we could go on and on... Tilda Swinton as the narrator is perfection guiding us via Australian nature scenes to choir rehersals on Iceland. The connection we all have to the universe, the tinest microbes on earth and music is just mind blowing and really puts things into perspective. The power of music and the impact on dementia, similarities to crystals and the mathematics of it all. We are all part of this magical world and Björk's way of showing us we can't thank her enough for. Enjoy the full documentary below; it's one of the best hours you'll spend all year we dare say.   

Premiere: Little Boots - Satellite (Lindstrøm Remix)

Ooo, this is mega! Norway's finest Hans-Peter Lindstrøm remixes the new Little Boots single Satellite and unveils a whole new dimension! If a video is to be shot we'd so want this to be the video version! That added synth is too good and hits us right in our core and send tingles down our spine. So good! Plus LB must have sent him an alternate vocal take as this one feels more subdued and not as bubbly. Love it! This premiere marks the start for the Satellite remix competion by the way. Free Download: Mutya Keisha Siobhan - Flatline (Argonaut Remix)

MKS's heavenly comeback (of sorts) Flatline is one track we cannot stop playing. Definitely in our top 5 when 2013 is summarized! The official release is September 1st and we're still waiting on the video to drop. All this and paired with the fact that their live set last week got a 5 star review makes the wait unbearable. What to do?! Look for some remixes naturally! Melbourne based DJ Argonaut gives the flawless Dev Hynes production a lil' heavier beat for the dance floors and how this is a bootleg is beyond. The Knife - Let's Talk About Gender Baby (Planningtorock Full Of Fire Remix)

The Knife live in May was an absolute thought provoking pleasure to watch. It was more of an art installation than a "real" concert and we know many had issues with so much of it being playback. We liked the idea a lot since it worked so well with the overall show. One of the standout's was the insane almost 10 minute moment of watching the siblings and their dancers standing completely still while the album version of Full of Fire was blasting out of the speaker system. We know that single was not what people expected either as a lead single, however it's grown on us a lot. It's hard rave influences and lyrics are so perfect and very The Knife. The Dreijer sibling's old colleague on the Tomorrow, In A Year opera, Planningtorock, lifts the awesome line let's talk about gender baby, let's talk about you and me from it and totally does a brand new song. It has a fun lightness to it and the synth sounds like it could be part of a fun 80's band covering classic songs in a hotel bar somewhere. Free Download: Aaliyah - Try Again (Chris Clouse Remix)

Sometimes you just need to dance your ass off to an old classic, but at the same time it's wonderful to hear something new. Problem solved this weekend for sure! The Aaliyah and Timbaland 2000 masterpiece Try Again will always sound like a time vortex into the future and this remix by San Francisco based DJ Chris Clouse is the spaceship awaiting on the other side, haha. The added electro dance beat is addicitive and impossible to not dance to, in fact, we had to dance typing this! Enjoy!
