Premiere: Frida - I Know There's Something Going On (Lindstrøm Remix)

Wow, wow, wow! This Lindstrøm remix of Frida's I Know There's Something Going On is fire! In 1982 she was coming off of her massive ABBA era and started working with Phil Collins. The result was a harder and edgier sound on her third solo album Something's Going On. It sold 1,5 million copies and that makes it the biggest seller of any solo material from the ABBA members. On October 23rd we're getting a wide re-release of the whole album filled and to celebrate this Norwegian super hero Lindstrøm has sprinkled some major magic on the lead track. We cannot even. Worked into an almost 10 minute track we're getting the integrity of the track intact but filled with new sounds and a whole new atmosphere. It's excellent and a bit claustrophobic - Frida's paranoia is clear here since it's so stretched out and dubbed. Love it! Enjoy both the full vocal + dub version below!

Premiere: MS MR - Painted (Lindstrøm Remix)

Wow, what a trip! MS MR and their new single Painted are treated to a trip into outer space by Norwegian dance god and dark knight Lindstrøm. Doing a complete 180 on the original it sounds very much like a Lindstrøm original but with some Moroder and Woodkid thrown in there for good measure. Niiiice! We love this dark disco shimmering like black gold and pulsating like liquid fire. Top notch!  

Premiere: Little Boots - Satellite (Lindstrøm Remix)

Ooo, this is mega! Norway's finest Hans-Peter Lindstrøm remixes the new Little Boots single Satellite and unveils a whole new dimension! If a video is to be shot we'd so want this to be the video version! That added synth is too good and hits us right in our core and send tingles down our spine. So good! Plus LB must have sent him an alternate vocal take as this one feels more subdued and not as bubbly. Love it! This premiere marks the start for the Satellite remix competion by the way. Lana Del Rey - Blue Velvet (Lindstrøm Remix)

Wow, Lana Del Rey gets treated to a night of dancing by Norway's finest Lindstrøm! Her version of Blue Velvet gets turned from a retro tinged number into a full blown electronic odyssey. At first we thought this 9 + minute remix missed out not using the full vocal track, but after a few spins the chopped and slowed down moans grew on us. Creepy and slow so obviously perfect in the Del Rey realm! Dance away! Thank you Michael!
