Premiere: MS MR - Criminals

NYC duo MS MR are asking us all how it feels. The answer - hot damn good after they just dropped new single Criminals on us. Released as the second single from upcoming sophomore album How Does It Feel it has that patented MS MR sound - a lil' disco, some rock and sprinkles of synth all finished off with killer vocals by Lizzy Plapinger and tight production from Max Hershenow. Niiiice to start the weekend like this, listen, listen!  

Premiere: MS MR - Painted (Lindstrøm Remix)

Wow, what a trip! MS MR and their new single Painted are treated to a trip into outer space by Norwegian dance god and dark knight Lindstrøm. Doing a complete 180 on the original it sounds very much like a Lindstrøm original but with some Moroder and Woodkid thrown in there for good measure. Niiiice! We love this dark disco shimmering like black gold and pulsating like liquid fire. Top notch!  

Premiere: Paloma Faith - Only Love Can Hurt Like This (MS MR Remix)

Paloma Faith's Motown-esque (and Diane Warren penned) lament on love gone wrong Only Love Can Hurt Like This gets a major rework by hot eclectic duo MS MR. The throwback qualities that sound amazing gets replaced by a meditative electronic vibe. A lullaby for adults out on the town with wet pavement and broken hearts aching in the shining light from the street light...  

MS MR - Think Of You (HAERTS Remix)

MS MR's excellent 'breakup and overcome this $h!t' anthem Think Of You gets a nice dark tweak by Brooklyn based indie pop group HAERTS. Nice! We're crazy about the brooding sounds with all the twists and turns. Pulsating compact darkness with flickers of light shining through. And how awesome is that reference to Taylor Dayne's Tell It To My Heart?! Very nice touch! Listen belooow! 

Premiere: MS MR - Fantasy (MØ / Vindahl Remix)

MS MR's debut Secondhand Rapture is easily one of our most played albums this year. It's so darn good and eclectic! Their MØ remix is incredible too + is Cyndi Lauper Time after Time realness! Now the Danes are repaying the favour in a big way. Karen Marie Ørsted and her producer Ronni Vindahl sprinkle their Copenhagen magic on Fantasy and the result is addictive with a sugary crunch. We even get added vocals by MØ herself. Niiiice! This new atmosphere is like an alternate universe filled with endless The Knife concerts, cotton candy and dirty back alleys with neon signs. Listen below and dare yourself if you can not hit repeat.
