Free Download: Deee-Lite - Deee-Constructed

Badass Deee-Lite club diva Lady Miss Kier's b'day is today and we wish we could sing happy birthday to her and perhaps give her a celebratory lap dance. At an awesome club night in New York a few years ago we danced with her and girl can really shake it! Those high kicks! This mixtape by amazing DJ Josh Peace comes really in handy today, that's for sure! Just like his Mariah Carey one it's filled to the brim with those addictive 90's house beats and it's just so damn good. The work Miss Lady did with Towa Tei and Dimitri is truly outstanding and still makes dance floors around the world boil. Her voice is so perfect! All the classic tracks are here, E.S.P, Runaway, Groove Is In The Heart, Good Beat, Power of Love and even their 1992 US presidential election song Vote, Baby, Vote. The mixing is flawless so nothing left to do - just hit play and enjooooy!

Video Premiere: Laleh - Some Die Young (International Version)

Sweden's multi-talented Laleh is serving some real Icelandic amazingness in the international video to her now Scandinavian modern classic Some Die Young. We've listened to it since the January '12 release so awesome to see it's getting a wider release! Life is precious and the importance of valuing it, send out love and kindness and enjoy your time here on Earth can never be remembered enough. This song has helped so many people in Norway with the grieving after the horrific bombing and mass shootings and just thinking about it brings tears to our eyes. We love Iceland so it's a real treat to see the gorgeous landscape and amazing views. Laleh is both the dark and light side of life embodied and it's done in a simple but most effective way. Enjoy below and call someone you love - we just did!

Free Download: Madonna - Rain (Andy Fox's Nu-Disco Remix)

Um, how amazing is this?! Madonna's classic 1992 Erotica ballad Rain gets an incredible 180 nu-disco makeover by Italian house producer Andy Fox and we couldn't be happier! This is crazy good and sounds like an official 12" vinyl from the July '93 single release. Summer is still going and this will be the perfect soundtrack for the rest of August. That house piano, wet drum sound and synths are just sublime. Since only one channel of M's multi layered vocal track is used it also adds the bonus of hearing that really 'pop' in a brand new way too! Enjoy below!

Premiere: Lady GaGa - Applause

Lady GaGa has seen her Applause leak in snippets over the weekend and here, finally, is the full version. This marks the official musical start to the Artpop era and you can bet your money on her fanbase going absolutely mental right now. Applause is a celebration of pop culture and and what fame does to you. We'll be back with a more nuanced review in a bit, haha. First thoughts? Update: Alright, with a few hours distance and plays we must say we like it. It's catchy and lighthearted with a sound that ushers in a new LG era. Her voice is quite raw and the chorus soars like a good pop hook should. By no means will this road map any unknown music territory but as a live staple this will drive her fans wild, plus it's nice to hear her heading back to some of the fun and flirtiness from The Fame days. Are ya'll applauding? Update 2: And here's the lyrics video! Actually it's more of buzz video we'd say and it features mighty fine queens such as Shangela and Detox! Looks like a messy and fun night at the classic hangout Micky's in West Hollywood.

Premiere: Katy Perry - Roar

Get ready and listen to what will be blasting out of speakers everywhere for the next few months. Katy Perry's Roar marks the start to her Prism album era and supposedly is a darker and edgier one. Well, this Bonnie McKee co-written track is certainly catchy but not exactly summoning darkness, tehehehe. But she'll have a big radio week when it's out next week! Listen below! Thoughts? Update: Sounds like KP borrowed some inspiration from Sara Bareilles' Brave! Yikes!
