Best of '16: The Year In Music

Wow, what a year in music it's been! For us the highlight was to arrange a music talk with badass Little Boots at the MoMA (Moderna Museet Malmö) Malmö in Sweden! We had our live DJ debut also in Sweden and it was so awesome. Also - our like page became viral and reached just under 1 million people in under a month. WOW! Sadly we didn't have that much time for live gigs but we managed to head to RuPaul's Drag Race BOTS in Copenhagen, Denmark and it was much fun. Below is our annual Best of-list with 50 of our favourites of the year. (In no particular order.) We've gone nuts to awesome electronic beats, been mellow to gorgeous and emotive tracks and felt waves of happiness to soulful songs. They're all below, enjoooy! Click here is you prefer Deezer!

Premiere: Shura - Touch (Four Tet Remix)

Gah, how good is this?! Brilliant Shura's slow burner Touch meets the stellar action of Four Tet and the outcome is naturally perfection. The combination of the lush vocals, sadness of the lyrics and intricate beat is just really gorgeous. It's soothing yet comands you to listen. Shiny yet flecked with dark matter. Love it! LUCKILY for us Shura just announced as well that her debut album Nothing's Real is out on July 8. Cannot wait!

Best of '14: The Year In Music

This year, for us, has truly flown by and we're blown away that it's already time to sum up all the music! As always it's been a true pleasure listening and talking with ya'll and we send each and every one of you a big thank you! The golden songs for us this year are too many to count so we collected 50 of our top tracks and put them together with with no particular ranking. Below is the Soundcloud player and we've also created the same for Spotify and Deezer so feel free to take your pick of platform! Due to copyright restrictions they differ slightly but each is roughly the same 50 tracks! Standouts for us this year has been the magic of Jessie Ware, Röyksopp & Robyn's Do It Again era, FKA twigs' experimental beats and George Maple's insanely good Talk Talk single. Speaking of twigs - her concert in Copenhagen was our live highlight of the year. Incredible! Being named in October by Deezer as one of the best music blogs from Sweden was an awesome moment and we gotta say we're having a true badass time curating and finding gems! Here's to 2015 and a new stellar year together! Enjoooooy! :D

Premiere: Shura - Indecision

Shura's stellar new track Indecision is totally direct, mad catchy and unique all wrapped up into one. That amazing intro kicking off things with the dreamy synth stepping gently in and then those soft and soothing vocals soaring above. Too good! No indecision here at our place. We were raving about her amazing remix of Jessie Ware's Say You Love Me in August and the theme here is similar in both lyrical content of confusing love and how awesome the beats are. The styles are distinctly different and we love it. Where the remix is dark with twists and turns this is bright, airy and opens right up. Born in Moscow and raised in the UK Shura travelled to South America after Uni to work in the Amazon. It sounds like amazing times to find inspiration, meet different people and get close to both city life and the wonders of nature. How amazing will her album sound?! Stream below and click here and here for more audio and some cool visuals. Enjoy!

Premiere: Jessie Ware - Say You Love Me (Shura Remix)

Jessie Ware's slow burning new single Say You Love Me gets a major rework by Shura and it's stellar to say the least. We love the added dream pop elements and what they bring. The pitched down vocals and humming, almost heartbeat-esque, beat that starts slow and later adds power is really awesome. It's hypnotic and dreamy, we even prefer it over the original. It's less straight forward and the twists and turns makes Jessie's emotive tone really shine. And also, the silence around the 02:12 mark is just perfection. Top marks!
