Premiere: Röyksopp Feat. Susanne Sundfør - Never Ever

Hurrah! Brand new Röyksopp and Susanne Sundfør is Never Ever a bad thing! After Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland left the album format last year and venturing into a more loosely based release cycle we're more than happy it's not the end of new Röyksopp music! This single has already ruffled the feathers of their fan base. Judging by comments ppl are upset about the more than commercial production and we can hear what they mean. It's a very accessible sound that takes part of the duo's formula and turn 'em into a, dare we say, radio hit. The three collaborated in 2013 on the magical Running To The Sea and the darkness there is lacking here. Not a bad thing perhaps as a palate cleaser for things to come. PLUS, that drum machine does things to us - so hot! Listen below! Thoughts?

Premiere: Röyksopp - Sordid Affair (Watermät Remix)

When Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland a.k.a. the magical Röyksopp teamed up with Ryan James of Man Without Country for their magical and sad stricken Sordid Affair it was a perfect match. Throw in French house producer Watermät and it gets even better! We love the added sharpness to the wonderful production. The original is dreamy and this one zesty so best of both world's playing these back to back. The added club treatment really adds a most brilliant sensation of being in a dimly lit club dancing your socks off clutching a beer and iPhone in the same hand whilst the other one is busy wiping the tears away. It's really awesome and so flawless and attention grabbing. Top marks! The whole remix EP is out now with a great bundle value! Enjoooy!

Best of '14: The Year In Music

This year, for us, has truly flown by and we're blown away that it's already time to sum up all the music! As always it's been a true pleasure listening and talking with ya'll and we send each and every one of you a big thank you! The golden songs for us this year are too many to count so we collected 50 of our top tracks and put them together with with no particular ranking. Below is the Soundcloud player and we've also created the same for Spotify and Deezer so feel free to take your pick of platform! Due to copyright restrictions they differ slightly but each is roughly the same 50 tracks! Standouts for us this year has been the magic of Jessie Ware, Röyksopp & Robyn's Do It Again era, FKA twigs' experimental beats and George Maple's insanely good Talk Talk single. Speaking of twigs - her concert in Copenhagen was our live highlight of the year. Incredible! Being named in October by Deezer as one of the best music blogs from Sweden was an awesome moment and we gotta say we're having a true badass time curating and finding gems! Here's to 2015 and a new stellar year together! Enjoooooy! :D

Premiere: Röyksopp & Robyn - Monument Dance (Marcus Marr Mix)

For Röyksopp's new (and final) album era The Inevitable End they've amped up the monumental monument that is Monument. Remember this absolute gem?! To banish the slower pace even further they've enlisted DFA's Marcus Marr to shake, shake, shake it up! Eh, talk about a push. Robyn's vocals are perfect over the dramatic and dirty beat. It sounds so effortless and damn cool. We just wanna d.a.n.c.e to this stat in a dimly lit club and feel the bass through the floor. Enjoy below! The new Röyksopp album is out everywhere on Monday but already streaming in full on Spotify. Enjoy!

Premiere: Röyksopp - Sordid Affair

Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland of Röyksopp certainly keep the fire burning by releasing airy and emotive tracks regularly. Sordid Affair tells a dark tale with tears of sadness when a relationship under the radar ends. Ryan James of Man Without Country sings so tenderly and the beat pulsates and radiates such a warm and bright feeling. It's a keeper even if the subject feels cold. A gentle song reminding how difficult it can be to lose someone even if the premise for it wasn't all that secure and great to begin with. Röyksopp's new album The Inevitable End is out on November 10th and we officially cannot wait!
