Premiere: Karen Harding - Say Something (FACES Remix)

Hurrah! Close to six months after we blogged about Karen Harding's infecious MNEK produced debut single Say Something it has a release date! Since we're a bit impatient it was included in our Best of '14 playlist based on the SoundCloud stream. On January 26th it's finally coming out officially via Disclosure's Method Records. OH SNAP! That is a verrrry cool label to have your debut on! This remix by FACES is a FRESH start to the club year with zingy synths and a VERY 80's feel to it. And as always Karen's vocals are so on point and really works over this catchy beat. Top marks! Enjooooy!

Best of '14: The Year In Music

This year, for us, has truly flown by and we're blown away that it's already time to sum up all the music! As always it's been a true pleasure listening and talking with ya'll and we send each and every one of you a big thank you! The golden songs for us this year are too many to count so we collected 50 of our top tracks and put them together with with no particular ranking. Below is the Soundcloud player and we've also created the same for Spotify and Deezer so feel free to take your pick of platform! Due to copyright restrictions they differ slightly but each is roughly the same 50 tracks! Standouts for us this year has been the magic of Jessie Ware, Röyksopp & Robyn's Do It Again era, FKA twigs' experimental beats and George Maple's insanely good Talk Talk single. Speaking of twigs - her concert in Copenhagen was our live highlight of the year. Incredible! Being named in October by Deezer as one of the best music blogs from Sweden was an awesome moment and we gotta say we're having a true badass time curating and finding gems! Here's to 2015 and a new stellar year together! Enjoooooy! :D

Premiere: Karen Harding - Say Something (Bodhi Remix)

Karen Harding is on a roll with infectious debut single Say Something. The official stream is clocking up over 200K plays in just a month and she's getting rave reviews. Niiice! Cardiff duo Bodhi infuses the already retro house sounding track with some of their piano house magic. The result is a stunning banger that showcases Karen's brilliant backing vocals, stunning lead and throws in some nu-disco vibes for good measure. Love it! It's kinda straight forward and just puts out that magnificent groove without any fuss or unnecessary add-ons. Simply - d.a.n.c.e!

Premiere: Karen Harding - Say Something (Zac Samuel Remix)

Karen Harding's stellar debut single Say Something had us stuck on repeat with its badass retro house sound and amazing vocals last month. Yeah! We're happy to see that Brighton based producer Zac Samuel turns out a superb nu-disco treatment much like the one he did for Kiesza earlier this year. Awesome piano, infectious bassline and classic drum machine power for days. It's a tight production and really makes us wanna d.a.n.c.e stat! Enjoooy!

Premiere: Karen Harding - Say Something (Wookie Remix)

Karen Harding has been on firm repeat here all week with her stunning debut Say Something. It's a home run for sure and MNEK's slightly dirty house production really makes our heart pound faster. UK garage legend Wookie turns this gem into a sleek and shiny treat filled with a brand new bassline and a sound that is teleported straight from 1994. Nice! The new elements are more exuberant and really complements Karen's crazy good voice. We must stress however we're crazy nuts about the original production and its more dark side too. This is a perfect way to start yer weekend - play both versions back to back. We might have a dance off in a bit... *death drops*
