Premiere: Röyksopp & Robyn - Monument (The Inevitable End Version)

Svein and Torbjørn better known together as Röyksopp drop a fantastic new version of the epic Robyn collaboration Monument. Apart from being a badass remix using their characteristical sounds this also acts as a pathway to the next album! Hot damn! Says S + T: The Inevitable End Version represents a bridge between our recent work with Robyn and the new Röyksopp album - it is also an indication of things to come… It includes the Röyksopp trademark bass line that no-one else can achieve… Argh, we kinda need that album right now TBH, haha. Love this mix with its crazy good drive and tight production. It takes the original mix and builds a whole new world for it without losing that special magic. Too good! Listen below to the Pete Tong radio premiere + the full version on Spotify! Enjoy! Oh, if anyone has a streaming problem try this alternate link

Video Premiere: Röyksopp & Robyn - Monument

Röyksopp & Robyn just released an amazing Max Vitali directed video to their musical Monument. We love the meditative feeling and the harmony of light and dark where they float in space. They all look both confused and in control which creates a wonderful dissonance to watch. Says Robyn: We started writing Monument after playing around with a software that can stretch short bits of music into billions of years of sound. It made total sense to me that Max wanted to explore this floating feeling and mediation in the video. If you think it's a lengthy video as it clocks in at almost seven minutes - bear in mind that the album version is two seconds shy of being ten minutes. That's a whole pop song worth of music that they cut! Wow. Watch below! Thoughts?

Premiere: Röyksopp & Robyn - Do It Again (Dave Audé Remix)

Oh yeah, we know Röyksopp & Robyn's motto this summer - let's do it again! Dave Audé remixes and aims for getting huge dance floors around the world boil - and possibly for a Billboard Club Chart #1. We can already imagine people on Ibiza and in West Hollywood eat this one right up along with super strong drinks and some Red Bull, haha. No waiting around for the build-up, it's straight to the point with this one - get ya movin'!

Full EP Stream: Röyksopp & Robyn - Do It Again

Röyksopp & Robyn's hotly anticipated Do It Again EP is out next week but below you can stream it in full already! Opener Monument we've been dying to hear in full - all those 9 minutes and 57 seconds of glorious, dark and shimmering moments in a parallel musical universe. So incredible, and it truly feels like it will be R&R's standing monument when all is said and done. Sayit and Do It Again follows suit with harder electronica with a carefree vibe to both ones. Every Little Thing takes down the tempo and it feels like almost coming down from a fever rush. It's raw and honest with Robyn's voice shining like a panting candle bursting like a flame threatening to get extinguished. EP closer Inside The Idle Hour Club clocks in at almost ten minutes too and hypnotizes us with its dreamy and minimalistic feel. It's a top notch body of work and we can't wait to see what it'll sound like on their joint summer tour. ENJOY!

Video Premiere: Röyksopp & Robyn - Sayit

Röyksopp & Robyn are the firestarters this Monday with their new video Sayit! The first real visuals to the Do It Again EP is a dark, black & white orgy in loops, lo-fi dead broken up pixels and animal realness! Yeah baby, chicken and dog realness! We cannot even with the shoes! The beat is hard and we're getting some Kraftwerk vibes and how awesome would that be to hear a remix from them on this project? We really like the spoken word and minimalistic approach and now we're even more excited for the full release to drop! Enjoy! Thoughts?
