Best of '16: The Year In Music

Wow, what a year in music it's been! For us the highlight was to arrange a music talk with badass Little Boots at the MoMA (Moderna Museet Malmö) Malmö in Sweden! We had our live DJ debut also in Sweden and it was so awesome. Also - our like page became viral and reached just under 1 million people in under a month. WOW! Sadly we didn't have that much time for live gigs but we managed to head to RuPaul's Drag Race BOTS in Copenhagen, Denmark and it was much fun. Below is our annual Best of-list with 50 of our favourites of the year. (In no particular order.) Florence + The Machine's epic and rushing Queen Of Peace is easily one of our favourite releases of the year. It's perfect the way it is, but who can resist a bit of Hot Chip on the side? In true H C style we're getting a quirky and bouncy production filled with different sounds and vibez. Listen below! Thoughts?

Premiere: Florence + The Machine - Delilah

New Florence + The Machine! Yes, yes, yes! New album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (out May 29th) already sounds like a banger - love it. Delilah is everything we love about Flo. It's ethereal with a rock hard spine and that powerful voice front and center. It sounds mighty in recorded form and we so wanna hear this live. Imagine that piano kickin' in on a huge festival this summer. Top notch! Enjoy! 

Premiere: Florence + The Machine - As Far As I Could Get

For Record Store Day this Saturday just passed Florence + The Machine released a limited edition blue heavy weight vinyl of her What Kind Of Man. The How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful lead single is joined by brand new b-side As Far As I Could Get and honestly this is amazing and sounds like classic Flo. Love the bassline intro followed by old school military drums and that gorgeous voice singing softly at first and building up to a soaring chorus. Love it - what a gem!  

Premiere: Florence + The Machine - Ship To Wreck

We looove Florence + The Machine and her How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (out May 29th) album era is serving up one amazing single after another. Tonight we're living for Ship To Wreck, a hot drum and guitar driven track that sounds a lil' like The Cure (!) and of course comes with a booming chorus with Florence Welch patented vocalssss soaring. It sounds like a classic Flo track but with a new and cool twist. Imagine this live at a huge outdoor summer festival - too hot!
