Full BBC Documentary: The Kate Bush Story - Running Up That Hill

Legendary innovator n' casual badass Kate Bush launchs her first concert series in 35 years next week at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, London. To coincide with this amazing occasion the BBC has produced a brand new documentary chronicling the Bush story. Elusive as ever, Kate herself, of course, is nowhere to be seen apart from stock footage from interviews and TV appearances. This feels 100% correct and it's amazing to get a summary concentrated like this. What we get that's newly produced is interviews with the likes of Tori Amos, Bat For Lashes, Tricky and St. Vincent expressing their enormous adoration. It's wonderful to see, she truly is an artist's artist. A singer's singer. We also get a peek inside with new interviews with key collaborators such as Dave Gilmore, Peter Gabriel and Lindsay Kemp. Not to mention a slight personal angle from her (now ex-) boyfriend of 10+ years Del Palmer, who also has worked extensively as her sound engineer. The mix is enticing and we love how accessible Kate seems for just a fleeting second. Enjoy the full hour below! Thoughts?

Bat For Lashes - Lilies - Video Premiere

Bat For Lashes gorgeous The Haunted Man album opener Lilies just got a video to it and we love it! It's important to be able to laugh and we love the playfulness of Natasha and these creatures. The overall feel reminds us a bit of Björk's Mutual Core video from last year!

Bat For Lashes - A Wall - Video Premiere

Bat For Lashes knows how to treat us! Just in time for the weekend she gives us a video to A Wall! 'cause where you see a wall, I see a door. Words can't even describe how we connect with that sentiment. Oh, how many times we have felt that way. Spotting the possibilities. Natasha attends a party with her lover played by Harry Treadaway and they seem to have some issues to resolve even though the love is there. The album The Haunted Man is amazing and  been on repeat here since the day it came out. Enjoy below!

The Best of 2012: The Year In Music

2012 has offered some truly amazing music moments for us! We saw Grimes, El Perro Del Mar and Madonna live in concert to mention but a few! Very awesome! Album wise we're blown away by what we've had on repeat. It feels unreal that Lana Del Rey's Born To Die album came out only this year, not to mention twice, haha! We've played it so many times it feels like it's been out forever. Frank Ocean's Channel Orange album with it raw emotions and amazing instrumentation. So good! Other standouts for us on repeat are First Aid Kit, Azealia Banks and Bat For Lashes. Also so happy for new material from truly iconic artists like Björk, Tori Amos and Sinéad O'Connor! Below we've gathered some of our personal favorites from the year just passed. Moments of pure clarity and happiness collected on one Spotify playlist! How awesome Solange made such a splash with her brilliant True EP this late in the year! AMAZING! Enjoy below and do gives us your thoughts on your faves! (2011's list can still be found here so ya know!)

London Contemporary Voices - Laura (Bat For Lashes Cover)

Hearing London Contemporary Voices sing Bat For Lashes' incredible single Laura moves us to tears. It's already so stunning in its original incarnation - but the choir arrangement with its layers paired with the amazing acoustics of London's St George's Church makes it simply sumblime. The chorus soars to the sky and brings out the meaning so well making it one of the best covers of the year. Top marks guys!
