Lana Del Rey - Ride - Video Premiere

Lana Del Rey hosted the premiere of her short film Ride at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica the other day - and here it is! It's almost hard to fathom that she released her Born To Die album in January this year! It feels like it's been around forever - easily our most played album of the year. November 12th sees the release of The Paradise Edition of the album with Ride being the lead single. In true Del Rey style we get a video that excites us and is somewhat scary at the same time. Heaven and hell. A road trip to the Mojave desert that starts at a L.A convenience store. Seeking her freedom, riding and partying with a biker gang. The Anthony Mandler directed film is a perfect fit in the Del Rey story so far. Watch below. Thoughts?

Hercules And Love Affair - Release Me (Andrew Butler and Mark Pistel Remix)

Andy ButlerHercules And Love Affair master mind, has been busy finishing their DJ-Kicks compilation. On it comes a brand new track from them - Release Me. Sweet! Until we get to hear the album version on October 29th - check out this pumping remix by Andy himself and Grace Jones' Sex Drive producer Mark Pistel! It sounds like it came off a dance compilation from 1988 so no complaints from us! Dat groove and sweet vocals! Enjoy and download belooow!

Tracey Thorn - In The Cold, Cold Night (The White Stripes Cover)

We've had Tracey Thorn's Christmas album Tinsel and Lights on our radar for close to a month now. Not until today has it felt OK to mention any xmas festivities though, haha. Thankfully - the first album taster is an awesome cover of The White Stripes In The Cold, Cold Night something we can get behind with ease. Honestly, Tracey is the only person around that can release a press image like that for a holiday album! The lights switched OFF, looking cold and not too cheerful, no snow - obviously we love it! The album contains some serious xmas classics too, and it's so awesome that she will be part of our celebrations this year! Her voice is so different from Meg's and the warmth she brings actually makes the night less cold. The lyrics are pure genius for a holiday anthem like this has become now. To preview the whole album click here. The original from TWS 2003 classic album Elephant here. Enjoy! Thoughts?

Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen - Live @ Jimmy Fallon

Ellie Goulding stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon yesterday and performed her shimmering single Anything Could Happen. We love that the live version brings out the gospel qualities in the song even more. Since Lights has been such a huge smash in the US just these past months we're curious where this one will take her chart wise there. We have a feeling it could be another mega hit. Enjoy below! Ellie's album Halcyon is out now!

Robyn VS. The Doors - Dancers On The Storm - Free Download

Drinking our morning coffee we'd never have guessed this fusion to be on repeat at midnight! The Doors classic Riders On The Storm, the last track they ever recorded and Jim Morrison's last recorded song to be released, gets a sweet update by the electronics of Robyn's modern classic Dancing On My Own. We never get tired of that distinct electro beat and so awesome that it ends up in the most brilliant and unexpected places. Who knows, maybe this how Jim would have sounded had he lived and seen his 70th b'day next year. Enjoy it below! The Doors original here, Robyn here. For the .mp3
