Röyksopp Feat. Susanne Sundfør - Ice Machine (Depeche Mode Cover)

We're crazy in love with Röyksopp and Susanne Sundfør's brand new track Running To The Sea that they premiered last week. So good!! During their Lydverket showcase they did something incredible apart from releasing a new track - they did a flawless Depeche Mode cover! Dying. SO good! Ice Machine is entirely written by legendary Vince Clarke and can be found on the 1988 re-release of their 1981 debut album Speak & Spell. We cannot even begin to discuss how good this is! Susanne's voice is so incredible and the updated arrangement that follows the original is badass. So tight! And as always we're suckers for when Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland do some vocals themselves. Listen, listen! Cannot wait for more material from this trio!

Sinéad O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U + 4th and Vine - Later... with Jools Holland

Sinéad O'Connor had to cancel her entire 2012 tour earlier this year due to health problems as you might remember. So it's extra special and wonderful to see her in such amazing form performing at Jools Holland last night. She did her massive breakout 1990 hit Nothing Compares 2 U and new track 4th and Vine from her stellar 2012 album How About I Be Me (And You Be You)? and it's so damn good. We love the added depth in her voice that lends both new and older material such amazing richness and dimensions. We wish you lots of love and happiness Sinéad, and cannot wait to see you live soon!

London Contemporary Voices - Laura (Bat For Lashes Cover)

Hearing London Contemporary Voices sing Bat For Lashes' incredible single Laura moves us to tears. It's already so stunning in its original incarnation - but the choir arrangement with its layers paired with the amazing acoustics of London's St George's Church makes it simply sumblime. The chorus soars to the sky and brings out the meaning so well making it one of the best covers of the year. Top marks guys!

Lana Del Rey - Ride (Acoustic Version)

Lana Del Rey stopped by San Francisco based radio station KFOG 104.5 and perfomed Ride, Body Electric and Video Games in a live set. Nice! We love Lana in a more intimate, stripped back setting and this is no exception. Ride really grows with the live vocals, the desperation in her voice is mesmerizing. Almost makes us forget about the no swearing policy on US radio, haha! Almost... Body Electric sounds like some old lost soundtrack from a 70's porno - nice! And lastly Video Games becomes a country favorite - Dolly would be proud to sing this! Enjoy 'em below! Thoughts?

El Perro Del Mar - Walk On By - Live In Sweden

We saw El Perro Del Mar live for the first time yesterday in her native Sweden at InKonst in Malmö - and what a treat! We realized we had no idea what a concert with her would be like. She started at 11pm just like the ticket informed, a first for us not to have to wait for an artist. Instead we were slightly stuck in transit and rushed in as she was singing the show opener Pale Fire - the title track from her upcoming album. After that she went straight in for the kill with magical Walk On By - one of the best singles of the year we think. We're wild for the Paris Is Burning and Massive Attack samples. That brings us to another thing. As she's sample and club based nowadays there was not a single acoustic moment in sight - she had a guy who helped her mix and also used her own soundboard. The mood was mellow and relaxed, not to mention dark (the venue too) - the music really stood on its own with no bells and whistles. Also, on a side note as Sarah has said the new album is about living in ruins and wanting to run away - so it was awesome to see she looked so healthy and badass. Plus it was hard not to notice she's pregnant and we're thinking that's the power of the pale fire right there. The start of something new and the promise of love and hope for a better tomorrow. If you get a chance to catch her live we highly recommend you do! Pale Fire is out November 12th.

In this world, you think you have no reason to believe in love or in anything much. Then one day, when you least expect it, a light appears on the far horizon. It's a flickering light, begging you to come, telling you to stay away. It's the pale fire. The promise of love and hope - all consuming and elusive. Yet for a moment, it brings clarity in the darkness, future to the ruins and power to the fight." - El Perro Del Mar
