Premiere: Say Lou Lou - Better In The Dark

Twins Miranda and Elektra Kilbey a.k.a Say Lou Lou have had a hectic year to say the least. After releasing the wonderful debut single Maybe You and touring extensively they started their own label, à Deux Records, for superb follow up Julian/Fool Of Me to much acclaim. Now it's time for their major label debut! Better In The Dark will be released via Columbia Records on November 25th as a double A-side vinyl (and download) along with a currently unreleased track - Beloved. Thankfully their gorgeous dream pop is left unchanged and the bombastic drums are perhaps even more devastatingly beautiful this time around. Judging by all this amazing music their debut album, slated for early 2014, will be an epic one!   

Premiere: Lady GaGa Feat. R.Kelly - Do What U Want

Lady GaGa is gearing up for the November 8th release of her Artpop album with some thong artwork and R.Kelly duet realness! Do What U Want is considered a promo single and on it LG snears at her critics. Last night she shared some epic links on twitter leading up to this morning's single release. The track is a slinky 80's tinged R&B jam filled with dark synths and overdubs. It's doing it's job right for sure - raising the curiosity what the full album will sound like. That thong artwork though, we cannot even... 

Lorde VS. M.I.A. - Royal Planes

It makes perfect sense mashing Lorde and M.I.A. like this! Both have a status of being outsiders but at the same time being highly successful and marketable. The former's debut single Royals is currently at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 while the latter is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated 4th album Matangi. Royals freshness and crisp vocals sounds amazing over M.I.A.'s Paper Planes (which heavily samples The Clash and Wreckx-n-Effect) bangin' cash machines and guns and the attitudes blend seamlessly. Premiere: John Newman - Gold Dust

We're crazy nuts about Gold Dust, the new track from amazing John Newman. Playing like a jukebox hit for the ages we're getting some Otis Redding vibes from John's powerful soul vocals. How sweet is that? Very would be the answer to that. Actually it plays like a chocolate box would sound; something for everyone. The boozy pralines, the sweet ones in red candy wrappers and the dark coffee flavored near the side. Since Mr Newman is fresh off the heels from his UK #1 Love Me Again we're sure his debut album Tribute, out this week, is gonna soar to the top. Judging by this insanely amazing track he's gonna stick around for quite some time. Thoughts?

Video Premiere: Little Boots - Shake

Oh, just a mere 2 years after premiering the glimmering Shake, we get a kickass video to it. Thank you Little Boots! Thank gawd we have worked on our patience! Plus it was worth the wait! Following last month's video to Satellite we're getting some serious robot realness this time. We think it's ingenious to mix ballet, technology and club music. They go excellent together and create a wonderful atmosphere. Plus she's serving some Flashdance vibes and the spiders feel a bit organic so we're thinking there's an element of nature in there too. Love that she used the original single version - it's so fresh compared to the added sounds and vocals on the re-recorded album version. Top marks Boots!
