AlunaGeorge - Diver - Premiere

London act AlunaGeorge started the year off right by releasing their new single Diver to Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show yesterday! This duo finished second in BBC's Sound of 2013 poll and they're shining so bright we're considering wearing SPF listening to their music! Diver is a shimmering track with flawless production and vocals. The mellow groove is reminiscent of early 90's R&B and it just flows in an awesome way. Btw, in January last year we wrote about their Lana Del Rey remix. You can grab their treatment of Born To Die here! Enjoy! Their debut album Body Music will be out in June.

The Best of 2012: The Year In Music

2012 has offered some truly amazing music moments for us! We saw Grimes, El Perro Del Mar and Madonna live in concert to mention but a few! Very awesome! Album wise we're blown away by what we've had on repeat. It feels unreal that Lana Del Rey's Born To Die album came out only this year, not to mention twice, haha! We've played it so many times it feels like it's been out forever. Frank Ocean's Channel Orange album with it raw emotions and amazing instrumentation. So good! Other standouts for us on repeat are First Aid Kit, Azealia Banks and Bat For Lashes. Also so happy for new material from truly iconic artists like Björk, Tori Amos and Sinéad O'Connor! Below we've gathered some of our personal favorites from the year just passed. Moments of pure clarity and happiness collected on one Spotify playlist! How awesome Solange made such a splash with her brilliant True EP this late in the year! AMAZING! Enjoy below and do gives us your thoughts on your faves! Lana Del Rey - Ride - (James Lavelle Remix Lyla's Surprise)

Lana Del Rey gets a Ride to a dark and sinister place with Oxford based electronic artist James Lavelle of UNKLE behind the wheel. A woman named Lyla is along for the ride too, but that's a surprise it seems. The road is even longer and darker in this take. Lana sounds sleepy and so tired. It's monotone and strangely hypnotic. Praying for morning to come and the light to shine once more.
