Premiere: Lana Del Rey - Salvatore

Lana Del Rey's Honeymoon album officially drops on Friday! She's in London to sign records at Rough Trade on release day and dropped by BBC Radio 1 and played album cut Salvatore. Wow, such a lush, cinematic and old worldy track. In the interview she says it's a unique track on the record - cannot wait to hear the new stuff in full. Enjoy it aaall below!

We might as well rename the blog Björk Says Relax for the next few months, haha. It's gonna be packed with Vulnicura album treats we hope! The album leak and the subsequent rushed official release last week, two months earlier than planned, had fans screaming from both fear and joy. Tonight, just a few hours ago, B chatted with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe about the whole process and what's gonna happen in the near future. Tour! She's so cool! We must say the album has us floored. It's so amazingly good and the raw tone is palpable. It's so intimate it feels like listening to someone's soul. Reverence is the word to describe what we feel when listening. FKA twigs - Two Weeks (Live @ BBC Radio 1 Zane Lowe Sessions)

We're so in BBC radio mode this week! FKA twigs and her band stopped by BBC Radio 1's Maida Vale studios to chat with Zane Lowe about music, inspiration and London's Vogueing scene to mention a few topics. And as if that wasn't exciting enough we get brand new live performances of Two Weeks, Give Up and Pendulum from her debut album LP1. Very awesome! It's fascinating to hear twigs' thoughts and background as we've never heard/seen an interview with her before. Plus her live vocals are sick, so damn good n' her band is super tight. Alas, we can't have it all - it's the censored lyrcis we get treated to. But we think at least one 'motherfucker' was there to be heard. Check it all out below - a perfect 26 minute listen. <3 

AlunaGeorge - Thinkin Bout You (Frank Ocean Cover)

AlunaGeorge stopped by BBC Radio 1 and performed a sweet cover of Frank Ocean's amazing Thinkin Bout You. We love the change in emotion and the instrumentation. Aluna Francis voice is so damn nice to listen to as well. Top marks! Enjoy below!

AlunaGeorge - Diver - Premiere

London act AlunaGeorge started the year off right by releasing their new single Diver to Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show yesterday! This duo finished second in BBC's Sound of 2013 poll and they're shining so bright we're considering wearing SPF listening to their music! Diver is a shimmering track with flawless production and vocals. The mellow groove is reminiscent of early 90's R&B and it just flows in an awesome way. Btw, in January last year we wrote about their Lana Del Rey remix. You can grab their treatment of Born To Die here! Enjoy! Their debut album Body Music will be out in June.
