Lana Del Rey - Young and Beautiful - Video Premiere

Lana Del Rey's haunting and gorgeous Young and Beautiful is the lead off single from The Great Gatsby soundtrack. While the movie has started to receive less than stellar reviews this song has started to get some Oscar buzz around it. It's truly magnificent and timeless. The Sophie Muller directed video just premiered and Lana evokes some truly old school Hollywood shots. In this day and age it feels rare to have a video really take its time and have not that much going on. Long takes and head shots in the school of Marlene Dietrich realness paired with a gangster tear tattoo. Enjoy below!

Lana Del Rey's contribution to The Great Gatsby's soundtrack, Young and Beautiful, just premiered in FULL! Composed by Lana and the movie's director Baz Luhrmann it's a slice of heaven. It fits right into the Del Rey universe and seems more than fitting as the lead single for the movie. Heavy on the drama and strings, it tugs at our inner core. That person that sees you for who you are. Obviously beauty never fades perhaps shifts - but the sentiment that you have someone following your through the ages never gets old. Listen below! Lana Del Rey & Barrie-James O'Neill - Summer Wine (Lee Hazelwood Cover)

Lana Del Rey and her real life boyfriend Barrie-James O'Neill of the band Kassidy are currently on tour together. The love birds have done a cover of the 1966 classic Summer Wine, made popular in 1967 as a duet between composer Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra. Honestly we can't think of a better song to tide us over until Lana's new single Young and Beautiful drops next week. The cover is really sweet and beyond retro really, with the Super 8 look of the video it's as made in the 60's. Have a look below! PS. Awesome touch with the Billie Holiday clip at the end! 

Lana Del Rey - Chelsea Hotel No. 2 (Leonard Cohen Cover) - Video Premiere

Lana Del Rey has covered legendary Leonard Cohen's classic Chelsea Hotel #2 for the upcoming The Great Gatsby movie. Words pretty much fails us as this is massive, haha, we're a huge Lana and Cohen fan! She's managed to infuse the track with her distinct style without losing the 1974 original's raw life realness in the plot. Originally about Cohen's brief relationship with Janis Joplin, something he deeply regrets telling the world so intimately about. We love that Lana kept all the lyrcis intact as it gives the song a new dimension. Like Janis herself was singing it as a response. The Ant Shurmer/Spring69 directed video is classic Lana, simplistic and retro Super 8 film. Watch below!
