Premiere: Tuff City Kids with Annie - Labyrinth (Club Mix)

YEAH BABY! Annie's move from Bergen, Norway to Berlin, Germany keeps bringing on the goods! She's teamed up with Frankfurt DJ duo Gerd Janson and Philip Lauer a.k.a. Tuff City Kids for their upcoming album Adolescent (out Oct 14) - sweeeeeet! This collaboration is truly hot and we absolutely love the Chicago house feel paired with Annie's distinct vocals and how the end result sounds so effortless. It nods towards history without losing sight of its own destiny waiting at the horizon. Drum machine, cow bells, laser sounds and wonky synths, what's not to fall in love with in 2,5 seconds? Enjoooy! PS. What better than to use the 2009 album cover of Annie's criminally good Don't Stop for this post? :D

Premiere: Annie - Dadaday

Norway's finest Annie continues to explore her Euro dance side on new single Dadaday from the upcoming Endless Vacation EP (out October 16). Use the theme of a neverending vacay she opens up for discussing love & heartbreak plus create sick new beats in the vain of her flawless cassette realness cover art. Both Dadaday and lead single Cara Mia have this wistfulness hovering over the playfulness and it's really compelling. Cool concept and must've been so fun to develop it. Liste, listen!

Premiere: Annie - Cara Mia

Honestly, we can all go home now. There's been so much amazing music and wig snatching lately that we're bald from all the scalping going on up in here! And it's not like it's letting up - here's ANNIE with a new single, Cara Mia, and announcement that her new EP Endless Vacation drops on October 16! WTF! So good! We were at the same music festival in Berlin last summer (Yo Sissy!) and her DJ set was stellar. One thing that struck us then was that she's so understated and has a brilliant DJ set. Same with her new single - it's so groovy and effortlessly cool and memorable. Sweet like sugar, too! You go Annie!

The Best of 2013: The Year In Music

We were gonna post our annual Best of list on Monday. But with the hurricane force winds and floodings (right outside our HQ) in Europe now is a good a time as any for some sweet beats! It's been another incredible year in music and we wanna say thank you for a true pleasure listening together with ya'll! Standouts for us has been the dreampop of Say Lou Lou, Sky Ferreira's debut album, the return of MKS, David Lynch working with Lykke Li, Blood Orange sending us into heaven and the return of both David Bowie and Annie. Well honestly, the whole list is a true statement of what we absolutely love with no particular ranking. We saw The Knife live front and center in May at their Copenhagen gig and have a memory for life. Sheer brilliance! The fact that M.I.A., Sky Ferreira and Annie shared links to this blog on Twitter is just nuts and amazing! Thank you so much! Last week we took part in the Digital Agenda for Music conference in Stockholm along with Robyn and representatives from the government, technology and music industry sectors. Eh, amazing! We cannot wait for what '14 has in store and continue to grow and bring you the most awesome beats around. Thank you and enjoy!

Video Premiere: Annie - Back Together

....and just like that, Annie releases one of the best videos of her career. The infectious Back Together is taken from her brand new EP with Richard X, the A&R EP, and the aesthetics fits the 8-bit sound card perfectly. We're wild for the early 90's vibes of a video coundown show (remember those!!!) along with a mimed studio appearance on a recorded music show in the 80's. Only one problem though - Mannie would never be sliding down the charts with Invisible, that's for sure! Enjoy!
