The Best of 2013: The Year In Music

We were gonna post our annual Best of list on Monday. But with the hurricane force winds and floodings (right outside our HQ) in Europe now is a good a time as any for some sweet beats! It's been another incredible year in music and we wanna say thank you for a true pleasure listening together with ya'll! Standouts for us has been the dreampop of Say Lou Lou, Sky Ferreira's debut album, the return of MKS, David Lynch working with Lykke Li, Blood Orange sending us into heaven and the return of both David Bowie and Annie. Well honestly, the whole list is a true statement of what we absolutely love with no particular ranking. We saw The Knife live front and center in May at their Copenhagen gig and have a memory for life. Sheer brilliance! The fact that M.I.A., Sky Ferreira and Annie shared links to this blog on Twitter is just nuts and amazing! Thank you so much! Last week we took part in the Digital Agenda for Music conference in Stockholm along with Robyn and representatives from the government, technology and music industry sectors. Eh, amazing! We cannot wait for what '14 has in store and continue to grow and bring you the most awesome beats around. Thank you and enjoy!

Premiere: AlunaGeorge - Bad Idea

Aluna Francis and George Reid have had us in suspense for a quite some time now. Their debut album Body Music is due out on July 29th and that's not a day too soon! Thankfully they've heard our nerves and released Bad Idea today - not a bad idea at all. Over a minimalistic, 8-bit influenced beat we get those smooth and distinct vocals that we've come to love. That sample sounding like an egg timer as well! We thought we had something on the stove that we forgot honestly! Haha! Listen! Thoughts?

Disclosure Feat. AlunaGeorge - White Noise (Hudson Mohawke Remix)

Disclosure's and AlunaGeorge's massive UK #2 single White Noise gets a sweet low key remix by Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke. Where the original is bouncy n' flirty on the dance floor this one takes it to the after-party with some Earl Grey martini's and some makin' out dancing in the kitchen. Listen, listen!

Let's play rough indeed. If White Noise was a person we'd invite to a game of strip poker and tequila shots and do dirty stuff to it, haha. UK duos Disclosure and AlunaGeorge come together in the most awesomest way possible - a full on love fest with vintage 90's house throwbacks. We wanna grind, hump and get all four worked up for some rough fun all night and then buy 'em breakfast! Enjoy!

AlunaGeorge stopped by BBC Radio 1 and performed a sweet cover of Frank Ocean's amazing Thinkin Bout You. We love the change in emotion and the instrumentation. Aluna Francis voice is so damn nice to listen to as well. Top marks! Enjoy below!
