Premiere: Seinabo Sey - Rather Be (Clean Bandit Cover)

Amazing Seinabo Sey just released her debut EP For Madeleine (dedicated to her mother, yes, Madeleine) and continues her epic rise as the voice of a generation. Exactly how stunningly superb she is and what depth her voice really has is on display right here if there ever was doubt (no there wasn't). Seinabo has taken Clean Bandit's awesome UK #1 monster hit Rather Be and turned its classical and 90's house sound into a tender torch song. The original is the fastest selling single in the UK this year and no wonder - it's perfect. But this acoustic version makes the sentiment of the song really shine with a gorgeous muted light. It makes us happy and want to cry all at once and isn't that really what you want from music; the stirring of emotions and what that brings forward? Damn, this is absolute perfection. Can you even imagine what her debut album will do to us?! Be prepared to hit repeat below! Enjoy!

Free Download: BANKS - Are You That Somebody? (Aaliyah Cover) [Lincoln Flip]

BANKS goddess goodness keeps on comin' and we ain't complaining! This time it's a bootleg mix of her stunning BBC live cover of Aaliyah's Timbaland produced 1998 masterpiece Are You That Somebody?. San Diego based producer Lincoln takes the acoustic cover and builds on it with a super hot and hard synth and added drums. It's really awesome and adds a whole new dark dimension to her vocals. No sampled baby laughter like in the original of course, but still comes closer to it while bringing something fresh to the mix. It's hot, tight and showcases Jillian Banks' crazy good voice and serves as a reminder how cool the original really is. Love it!

FKA twigs - Two Weeks (Live @ BBC Radio 1 Zane Lowe Sessions)

We're so in BBC radio mode this week! FKA twigs and her band stopped by BBC Radio 1's Maida Vale studios to chat with Zane Lowe about music, inspiration and London's Vogueing scene to mention a few topics. And as if that wasn't exciting enough we get brand new live performances of Two Weeks, Give Up and Pendulum from her debut album LP1. Very awesome! It's fascinating to hear twigs' thoughts and background as we've never heard/seen an interview with her before. Plus her live vocals are sick, so damn good n' her band is super tight. Alas, we can't have it all - it's the censored lyrcis we get treated to. But we think at least one 'motherfucker' was there to be heard. Check it all out below - a perfect 26 minute listen. <3

Jessie Ware - Tough Love (Live @ BBC Radio 6 Music)

Jessie Ware stopped by Lauren Laverne over at BBC Radio 6 Music earlier today to have a chat and sing her stellar single Tough Love. Wow, did she sing it or what!? Apart from singing it one time at a live gig in Poland, this was the major live premiere in front of millions of listeners. We love the understated live production - a lone synth and Jessie's vocals front and center. That's plenty for someone with her caliber for sure. She also sang her wonderful Wildest Moments from 2012's Devotion album with a cool background story to go with. The whole clip is just under 30 minutes and well worth listening to from start to finish. Love her and her energy! Enjoooy!

Tori Amos - Hyperballad (Björk Cover) [Live at the Greek Theatre]

Tori Amos performed at L.A's classic Greek Theatre last night to a roaring crowd (of course, no surprise there). Her live set for this particular show included a stunning version of Björk's legendary 1996 single Hyperballad. Such a perfect treat! She's done it before and this time it's no less stellar. Her voice truly soars here and we kinda feel the need to throw some cutlery down the balcony now, struggling as we are to find the words. It's emotive, superb and truly so very Tori without losing any connection to the wonderful original. When she effortlessly glides into her own 1994 wonder Cloud On My Tounge it's no less than badass. Like what the hell?! So damn fine! The last 20 seconds we cannot even! At last night's show she did covers of Kate Bush, Elton John and Depeche Mode on top of this. Shockingly awesome, haha! We need to see her live stat! Enjoy!
