Premiere: Kelis - Been Given A Morning

Ten years and a month almost to the day after the instantly iconic Milkshake we get to experience a brand new side of usually rowdy Kelis. The tender Been Given A Morning is truly beautiful and her husky voice over the grand piano, strings and trumpet evokes a full on jazz lounge feel. Wow! The electronic dissonance two thirds in makes for interesting shock value. The soft, sweet and mellow sound is destroyed and we can't help to think that's sort of how life is sometimes. Her upcoming album is called F.O.O.D and is out mid February next year. Her last song from this project was Jerk Ribs so we're thinking the album's gonna have a foody theme?! Enjoy below! Thoughts? Thank you Vasilios!

Alison Moyet - Right As Rain (Terry Farley & Leo Zero Remix)

One of the absolute highlights from Alison Moyet's the minutes album is Right As Rain for sure. Her powerful vocals paired with the thumping electronic Guy Sigsworth produced beat and quirky lyrics makes for one badass song. Simple as. As it should, and this makes us so happy, it's getting a club release with remixes made. First up is the classic acid DJ's Terry Farley and Leo Zero's take which builds on the house elements and elevates even higher. Love! It's right as rain alright, haha. Video Premiere: Solange - Lovers in the Parking Lot

Solange's fantastic True EP is easily one of the most played at our place this past year. One of the first tracks we heard from it was Lovers in the Parking Lot and we're so happy it's getting a single release! We could listen to the drums alone, haha, but the amazing vocal delivery is just sublime and the production from Dev Hynes is perfection. The video is Texas strip mall realness and the idea of pairing a classic shopping destination with a club feel is effective. The dancing more than reminds of a certain sister as well, haha. Both Solange and Beyoncé kills it dancing in heels! The sentiment that you end up playing yourself if you mess around with other people's hearts we totally agree with. You should treat others like you wanna be treated yourself. Easier said than done, but oh so TRUE. Enjoy below! Lyrics here

Premiere: Katy B - 5AM

After the absolute fire that is What Love Is Made Of we are so curious what Katy B is cooking up for her next album! Seems her love for illegal street racing has seen her having second thoughts the next morning at 5am. The euphoria is more like a dissonance and some contemplation about wanting a love like valium. KATY! Go home and get into bed and we'll make you some tea and a sandwich for when you wake up gently. Lovin' the ill club beat and soaring vocals. However, bad idea wanting to get knocked out though. Stay safe in the nightlife B!

Premiere: Britney Spears - Work Bitch

It's Britney, bitch! Her new single Work Bitch just hit the internetz and she wants you to get to work, bitch. Hailed as the start to a Blackout 2.0 era it's a dark EDM track with icy spoken verses and a sung bridge. Safe to say the lack of warmth is palpable. That said we can already see clubs go mental when this comes on, it's the perfect club banger to drunkenly speak sing to, haha. It'll be interesting if Britney actually sings this live when it TV premieres next week. Not impossible! Go call the po-lice, go call the guv'nor! Thoughts? Btw, just realized that Work has the same intro + same icy structure as Kylie Minogue's Skirt! What's going on in pop diva world? They're all replaced by humourless robots?
