Stream: Alison Moyet - Situation 2014 (Live @ the minutes tour)

Alison Moyet had a whirlwind moment with her the minutes album that received rave reviews, hit #5 in the UK, had her working with Guy Sigsworth and head out on a big tour that is still ongoing. For the tour she updated her more than iconic 1982 Yazoo synth phenomena Situation. The original is beyind phenomenal and so instantly recognizable it's crazy. With this new live version the production is sharper, shinier and smacks you right in the face. Imagine being in the crowd when this, the last number of the shows, comes on. Alison's vocals are as always on point and it truly sounds like she's gonna jump from the speakers and don't mess around indeed. The new dance break sounds like an homage to Depeche Mode, very fitting since this was her old Yazoo buddy Vince Clarke's band before teaming up for a serious situation! When they were on tour in '08 the live mix then sounded more like the original so it's cool to get this fiery update. The live album which features this new mix, minutes and seconds – live, is out November 10th! Enjoy!      

Alison Moyet - Right As Rain (Terry Farley & Leo Zero Remix)

One of the absolute highlights from Alison Moyet's the minutes album is Right As Rain for sure. Her powerful vocals paired with the thumping electronic Guy Sigsworth produced beat and quirky lyrics makes for one badass song. Simple as. As it should, and this makes us so happy, it's getting a club release with remixes made. First up is the classic acid DJ's Terry Farley and Leo Zero's take which builds on the house elements and elevates even higher. Love! It's right as rain alright, haha. Free Download: Seal - Crazy (Monsieur Adi Remix)

French DJ and producer Monsieur Adi is currently working on new material with Seal in Los Angeles. Exciting! A lil' taster comes in the form of this remix of the latters classic and massive 1990 single Crazy. Originally produced by legendary Trevor Horn with music written by Guy Sigsworth it's not mean feat to do it justice. Thankfully the 2013 version is a 180 take on it with Adi's characteristics all over it - shimmering synths with chopped and layered vocals. Nice! It'll be interesting to hear their original material that no doubt will transpire next year! Enjoooy!

Alison Moyet of legendary Yazoo drops her first album in six years, The Minutes, tomorrow! For the full release she has teamed up with legendary Guy Sigsworth and they have a surprise for us. Hanging casually on lead single When I Was Your Girl's b-side is the most delicious 90's flavoured house remix done by Guy himself of buzz track Changeling. It's so good and we can't stop/won't stop playing it. The power of the flawless vocals are perfect against this modern take on a classic early 90's sound.
