Premiere: Lana Del Rey - Brooklyn Baby (Monsieur Adi Remix)

Erm, we might have to rename the blog to Lana Says Relax, and that's fine by us. Keep new mixes comin' plz! Lana Del Rey, her cool Brooklyn Baby boyfriend, Lou Reed, the feathers in her hair, beat poetry and hydroponic weed gets an electronic makeover by cool Parisian Monsieur Adi. Yas, the bohemian chic, hippie-esque quality of the original gets replaced by a sleek, shiny, hard surface with sharp edges and bright light. We really like juxtaposition of the laid-back vocals with the brooding synths and a pace that is not in a hurry for a mix like this. Too nice! Enjoy!   

Premiere: Beyoncé - Grown Woman (Monsieur Adi Remix)

Beyoncé's Grown Woman decided she needs to spend the cash from that soda commercial on a night on the town. Gone's the African inspiration and organic original beat courtesy of Timbaland - and the Congolese singers got a kende malamu postcard sent to them. Breakout remix connoisseur Monsieur Adi (whom we blogged about yesterday) sets the club on fire with a hard beat and deep bass perfect for a strut off with some serious swag for ya nerve. We really like the original's atmosphere - but like Beyoncé herself this track obviously has a huge wardrobe of different styles and this one says EAT IT! Also; love that Monsieur has gone from bootleg Madonna remixes to official Beyoncé ones in two years flat! 

Mikky Ekko - Kids (Monsieur Adi Remix)

Wow, and some! Mikky Ekko's Kids will never sound the same again! Remix connoisseur Monsieur Adi elevates the minimalistic production of the original into a full blown synth love feast. Add in the picture above and you have what sounds and looks like summer of 1987's biggest radio hit but from the future, haha. Amazing! Mikky and Monsieur need to collaborate more stat! Enjoy! 

Free Download: Seal - Crazy (Monsieur Adi Remix)

French DJ and producer Monsieur Adi is currently working on new material with Seal in Los Angeles. Exciting! A lil' taster comes in the form of this remix of the latters classic and massive 1990 single Crazy. Originally produced by legendary Trevor Horn with music written by Guy Sigsworth it's not mean feat to do it justice. Thankfully the 2013 version is a 180 take on it with Adi's characteristics all over it - shimmering synths with chopped and layered vocals. Nice! It'll be interesting to hear their original material that no doubt will transpire next year! Enjoooy! 

Say Lou Lou - Julian (Monsieur Adi Remix) - Premiere

We've had the original mix of Say Lou Lou's breathtakingly gorgeous single Julian on repeat the last few weeks. It's crazy good! Here comes Parisian DJ Monsieur Adi and sets it to a French house beat! Awesome! Nothing says 'I love you' like doing so on a dance floor and kissing under the strobe lights. Enjoy!
