Antony and the Johnsons - Cut The World - Premiere

We're so excited! The amazing Antony and the Johnsons drop their collection of live symphonic performances of songs from the band's 4 full length albums tomorrow. Cut The World is recorded in Copenhagen with the Danish National Chamber Orchestra. Also, this marks the first time the title track, a live favourite, has been made available in a professional recording. Happy days! It's one of Antony's new songs for The Life and Death of Marina Abramovi - a performance biography of the godmother of performance art, re-imagined by visionary director Robert Wilson and starring Antony along with Marina herself and Willem Dafoe. Only Antony Hegarty could make dark lyrics like these so enjoyable to listen to. From what we've heard so far of the album it's incredible and tracks like the legendary I Fell In Love With A Dead Boy and iconic You Are My Sister are given whole new atmospheres to breathe and grow in. Laleh - Some Die Young - Live @ Nasjonal Minnekonsert 22.7.12

Yesterday marked one year since the terror attacks in Norway where Anders Behring Breivik killed 77 people in two carefully planned attacks in Oslo and Utøya. So much hate in one person is almost unfathomable and at the same time it's evident that it exists throughout the ages. The concert in Oslo yesterday was therefore highly important to show that love and solidarity overcomes hate. Laleh opened the night with her Some Die Young and it was beautiful and poignant to say the least. The extended intro of Tine Thing Helseth playing Mitt Lille Land was incredible and made us teary-eyed and watching the whole thing cry for sure. Watch both below. Dolly Parton - Platinum Blonde - A Sunday Documentary

We have to make sure to catch Dolly Parton on her next tour - as we've never seen her live. Would be so awesome! This BBC doc tracks her roots and even has material from her very first radio performance as a child in Tennessee & we get to meet her mama! Since this aired originally she's written the Academy Award nominated Travelin' Thru and started her own record imprint Dolly Records - and found mainstream success with her Backwoods Barbie and Better Day albums. Dolly is a brilliant songwriter and this doc shows she's excellent keeping track of her catalogue as well. We really like that she's true to her core whilst exploring the world and its opportunities. Madonna - Nobody Knows Me - MDNA Tour Backdrop Video - HQ

Since Madonna is using the world's largest video screen on her current MDNA tour - she better fill it with some kickass backdrops! Last week we posted the Justify My Love film - and going to her show in Copenhagen last week it really stood out. So did her Nobody Knows Me - we love that M throws in some social commentary in all her recent tours. Remember her Get Stupid from 2009's Sticky & Sweet. Nobody has some real powerful imagery especially those who are no longer with us because of bullying that really hit home with us. Have a look at the HQ below!
