Free Download: Michael Jackson - Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (Louis La Roche Remix)

Michael Jackson's amazing sure-fire party starter Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' was written for Jackson sister LaToya. MJ and Quincy Jones wrote it with her in mind, but we all know who ended up recording it. Released in May '83 as the fourth of seven singles from Thriller it wasn't a huge hit on its own. Amazingly enough it only reached US #81 and UK #69. Its best chart position was #3 in Sweden! We love it and think it must be all those album sales messing with it, haha. You know it having huge opening numbers (one million a week) and being the best selling album of all time and all, hehe. British producer Louis La Roche has done a truly fresh remix for the Christmas party season. We're still having his amazing take on Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill on repeat so trust this new one will get some spins too right about now. We love the clean sound and the directness of it. The amped up the disco feel grabs you and won't let go, as it should be. Top marks! 

Michael Jackson's This Is It - Complete Film

We've been playing the HIStory album these last few days and cannot believe it's 3 years since the untimely passing of Michael Jackson. Not that any death is timely really, but it just seemed so unfair. He deserved to live and take the world by storm in those 50 London tour dates. A lot can be said about him so we won't. We're just happy that he got to do what he loved best - performing - those last months leading up to the end. He was a master at his craft, and this last chapter in his body of work really proves that he had so much more to give. Watch the complete film below, and call someone you love and tell them! RIP!

When Johnny Depp starred in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' 2 years ago he said that he based Willy Wonka on Michael Jackson. Well, Mikey is the cover girl of this months Ebony Magazine and the picture here is from the spread. I dunno if he's being ironic, butt...somehow I don't think he is. What do you guys think?
