When life imitates art

 
When Johnny Depp starred in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' 2 years ago he said that he based Willy Wonka on Michael Jackson. Well, Mikey is the cover girl of this months Ebony Magazine and the picture here is from the spread. I dunno if he's being ironic, butt...somehow I don't think he is. What do you guys think?

Haha! Spot on! Am laughing out loud, but surely there must be something behind this? I mean, like trying to enforce him as a quirky but essentially misunderstod benefactor to children, or something?
Was there any specific mention of Willy Wonka in the mag? Concerning the spread?
