Lykke Li's I Never Learn album is easily in our top five of this year and it's on steady repeat. We're fascinated by the many bootlegs that are coming in the wake of this project. The heartache of the original mixes are palpable and tears you in two on more occasions than one. However, the fan made ones add a touch of elation too in the musical production. Swiss DJ Pavel adds strokes of happiness to No Rest For The Wicked throughout the mix and we love the early 90's feel from the bassline - when the electro moments kick in we're lost in the wave of awesomess. Her superb No Rest For The Wicked is already on our Best of '14 list and we can't stop listening to it. The rawness and delicate manner of the verses kills us every time. German producers WeeDo and Markus Toepfer add such a nice element with the effortless club beat and airy atmosphere. Lykke Li released her hotly anticipated new album I Never Learn a week early on Spotify. We've been playing a lot and stand out immediately for us is the hypnotizing Never Gonna Love Again. Today we had it on repeat and sang the chorus and it's so catchy and so incredibly devastating at the same time. It's a lullaby with a jukebox heart that crushes you with the weight that only true sadness can bring. It's so superb and singalong friendly though that it's kinda nuts, it's made to sing aloud, and how can you without feeling sadness burn, but keep going anyway?
