Premiere: Jessica Lange - Gods & Monsters (Lana Del Rey Cover)

Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars in American Horror Story: Freak Show continues to deliver the good big time! After her stellar performance of David Bowie's Life On Mars? - here's an amazing cover of Lana Del Rey's Gods & Monsters. Scheduled to be performed in this week's episode we cannot wait to see the visuals. Since this is for Amercian TV - naturally this is a clean version that omits all the fucks. Can we hope for the OST to have a dirty version too? Elsa deserves that for sure! We love her Marlene Dietrich influenced delivery and how an amazing storyteller she is. Listen below! Thoughts?

Premiere: Lana Del Rey - West Coast (The Young Professionals Minimal Remix)

Yas, yas! Lana Del Rey's West Coast is still travelin' thru! Tel Aviv based duo The Young Professionals have gone in 2,5 years from doing a cover of Video Games to drop an official Lana remix for the French edition of the W.C remix EP. Nice! The beat is shining like the Cali sun and lends a refreshing touch to the Ultraviolence era's gloom and doom. Dancing with tears in our eyes indeed to this guitar electro hybrid. Enjoy below! Thoughts?

Premiere: Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence (Disciples Remix)

Don't even think for one second there's no new Lana Del Rey Ultraviolence remixes commissioned this week! They keep comin' like clockwork. London trio Disciples, who were behind this stunning John Newman remix last year are back! Their take on Lana's ultraviolent relationship puts her vocals front and center plus chops some up. Real nice! The music is a twisted house track that had a mad drum machine, awesome beat and would put any ghoul on the dance floor. We say this as towards the end that ghostly choir from the original arrives and is amped up and make this mix fit for any Halloween parties come October.

Premiere: Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence Remixes

Lana Del Rey really wants us to get movin' to her Ultraviolence emotions. Commissioned are three new club mixes that really puts a twist on that whole getting hit and have it feel like a kiss. It's a bizarre feeling yes to wanna dance to those lyrics and breathy vocals about hurt being like true love. Our fave of the bunch is the one by Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe a.k.a PBR Streetgang with its electro feel and moody atmosphere. The looped sighs and aaah's are strangely hypnotic! Sonic Matta delivers a house anthem that we can imagine being played at a mainstream club near you. Parisian indie pop duo Axel Basquiat and Vincent T a.k.a The Penelopes drops a jaunty number that Lana's hard outlook on life and love clashes with and creates an almost alternate universe filled with cotton candy and blood with the blipping disco sounds and sampled trumpets. Listen below! Thoughts? Update: Prins Thomas of Norway takes on the ultraviolence and infuses it with a terrific old school disco beat in his Diskomiks remix. That jaunty feelin' is so weird and so good at the same time with the lyrical content juxtaposed with frickin' bongo drums, haha. Alsooo, check out this 15 sec teaser of the video! Bride realness!

Free Download: Lana Del Rey - Sad Girl (WESLA Remix)

Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence slow burner Sad Girl stings and enchants in equal parts and we can't get enough. Her hopeless drug addicted man she's a mistress to and his money and all makes both her and us sad for sure. The album version is fantastic with its mellow mood, soaring vocals and bluesy soul. Parisian DJ WESLA brings the electro beat in and completely transforms the night into a warm and friendly spot. Perhaps sorrow lurks in the shadows but for a fleeting moment our sad girl gets to be happy. Love the flirty synth and cool bassline that connects with the drum like an eco system filled with awesome things. Listen below and for the .mp3 head here. Enjoy!
