Video Premiere: Róisín Murphy - Unputdownable

The delicious Unputdownable from Róisín Murphy's stellar album Hairless Toys just got a video! Ró directed it herself and continues the superb visuals harking back to glorious Italian cinema in the 70's. Love it! We get gorgeous shots filled with quirk, murder mystery, cabaret and amazing outfits + those Christophe Coppens masks! What's not to love? Top notch!

Video Premiere: Gwen Stefani - Used To Love You

Wow, Gwen Stefani is b.a.c.k to her L.A.M.B days! Used To Love You is a corker of a song that feels like classic Gwen both as a solo act and as part of No Doubt. It's a lil' like the follow up to Don't Speak actually. Not a big surprise after she had a major breakup with her husband Gavin Rossdale after more than a decade. This new single comes across as honest and kinda raw - a good mix if you wanna connect with listeners. We suspect that it's a Ryan Tedder production behind as it's bombastic and would sound good on radio, too. The video is a try at an emotional one-take and hmm, maybe they needed to work on the concept some more - it's a tad distracting. BUT, the song is great! Thoughts?

Video Premiere: Hot Chip - Dancing In The Dark (Bruce Springsteen Cover)

Wow, it looks like Hot Chip raided our tumblr for the video to their Bruce Springsteen cover Dancing In The Dark. The visuals are wonderfully lo-fi and gif-tastic and some! The 1984 original is already heavy one the synth and this new update turns it into a disco odyssey. They even throw in a lil' LCD Soundsystem sample - nice! No wonder they used this as the concert closing number on their summer tour this year - it was tailor made for heavy dancin' in the dark!

Video Premiere: Little Boots - Get Things Done

We've said it plenty all year - but Little Boots' Working Girl album era is so damn cool and fun with hot beats. Plus the aesthetics are beyond - so cohesive and they come across so effortless and chic. Get Things Done is an album standout with its funky bassline and soaring + clipped vocals. The video is thrilling and damn it LB, ya shoe + hair game is so on point. Love it all! You do indeed know how to get it d.o.n.e. :*

Premiere: Ellie Goulding - Something In The Way You Move

Ellie Goulding is pushing her boat out for a big pop sound on her third album Delirium (out November 6). First taster On My Mind is even co-written by pop wizard Max Martin! Something In The Way You Move is no exception to this new rule. Ellie wrote it with legendary pop creator Greg Kurstin who also produced it and wow - it's airy and mad catchy. We can tell by the comments on the fan dance video her fan base is diveded and not very happy with this switch to a more pure commercial sound. At least it's well crafted and fun - but we're getting less Ellie in the mix. Her quirky and adorable side has taken a backseat for this more clean pop feast. Hopefully there's some more genuine Goulding on the album! Thoughts?
