We must say we really dig when Gwen's in a more upbeat mode. This is a sunny and fun track that comes across, to us at least, as genuine and heartfelt. Nice! Thoughts?

Wow, Gwen Stefani is b.a.c.k to her L.A.M.B days! Used To Love You is a corker of a song that feels like classic Gwen both as a solo act and as part of No Doubt. It's a lil' like the follow up to Don't Speak actually. Not a big surprise after she had a major breakup with her husband Gavin Rossdale after more than a decade. This new single comes across as honest and kinda raw - a good mix if you wanna connect with listeners. We suspect that it's a Ryan Tedder production behind as it's bombastic and would sound good on radio, too. The video is a try at an emotional one-take and hmm, maybe they needed to work on the concept some more - it's a tad distracting. BUT, the song is great! Thoughts?

Gwen Stefani is back with Baby Don't Lie, her first solo single since 2008's Early Winter! We had no idea what to expect sound wise and for these initial listens we're getting some major Shakira vibes! Wouldn't this sound amazing on a Shaki release with that booming voice?! Co-written and produced by Benny Blanco and Ryan Tedder this baby aims at the US Top 10 for sure. It's an earworm we can tell although we really miss the kookiness of What You Waiting For? and Hollaback Girl a lot! With that said - welcome back solo Gwen!
