Premiere: JONES - Hoops

East Londoner JONES is on the rise and no wonder - she's awesome! Hoops premiered today and is the lead single to her debut album New Skin which will be out next year. We love the ethereal and sparse intro that builds and shimmers. The chorus kicks in and it's just fantastic from there. We're getting The xx references in the guitar and it's so eclectic and warm holding together perfectly by that stellar vocal delivery. So wistful and gorgeous. Produced by hyped XO this really got us going. Hopefully they have more in store for us for 2016! Enjoooy below!

Video Premiere: Blood Orange - Sandra's Smile

We looove Blood Orange and so happy to have new material from him! It's a sad moment too as Sandra's Smile, a fantastic new song, remembers Sandra Bland and references Trayvon Martin's mother Sybrina Fulton that she's not ready to forgive her son's killer. It's hard to fathom how these events are even occuring in real life - but they are. This paired with a sick Dev Hynes beat, complete with a stunning saxophone plus amazing moves - it's all a bit too much. It's powerful and a grim look into tragedies that in no way are justified. Welcome back Dev - we've missed you!

Video Premiere: MØ - Kamikaze

is having a blast this year and it comes across in her video to Kamikaze. We recognize her aesthetics but they're amped up for sure. Lean On, her collaboration with Diplo and DJ Snake was her definitive breakthrough and the former has made her new sound more accessible. That's all good and we want the Danish maiden to reach as many people as possible. We weren't crazy about losing her unique sound but hey, this is good, too. And the rowdy visuals really help the song to unfold itself. Watch below! Thoughts?

Video Premiere: Grimes - Flesh without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream

Grimes is back with new music! Two brand new tracks just dropped in one go - Flesh without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream and they share video concept and all. We can already hear Grimes purists shrieking in horror though. Yas, it's true - we are a looong way from the Visions album and glorious singles/videos like Oblivion and Genesis. It however looks like Claire herself is having mad fun and Flesh... is a cracker of a pop song! The vocals are on point and the guitar is catchy and driven. The 2nd song reminds us a bit of, wait for it, ENYA (!) and we never saw that comin' at us. The video is bright, serving updated sneakers Marie Antoinette realness for days and months amongst the various lewks. There's a strong undercurrent of sadness, both lyrically and how the mood in the video switches from happy to violent. 'ave a look below - thoughts? New album Art Angels is out November 6!

Video Premiere: Adele - Hello

Hello, Adele is back with her first single from her upcoming album 25. Her last single, Bond theme Skyfall, won her an Oscar so wow, this is really quite the follow up. Considering last album 21 was the world's best selling album two years in a row as well in '11-'12. With this information it's easy to get lost in it and lose focus on what really matters - the song. Strip away all the accolades and you still have one hell of a songwriter, storyteller and singer in Adele. Hello is a stirring track that tugs at every heartstring possible. The bombastic chrous paired with her sadness in the verses is really touching and it sounds like really classic Adele. The sepia tone of the video along with the flip phones makes it look like a faded memory that comes back to haunt and of course - hurting someone at a young age can really mess with your mind as an adult in ways never thought possible. Welcome back Ms. Adkins - you've been missed!
