As if Róisín Murphy wasn't a genius beforehand with her music and directing her own stunning visuals. Her self-directed video to Whatever is a marvellous social commentary on the age of social media. And she's on the money as we first saw the teaser on Instagram + we've been busy with Snapchat and Facebook for work all day and squeezing in some blog writing, too. The song is taken, naturally, from her Take Her Up To Monto album and plays like a lullaby of sorts with spooky elements. The lyrics fit perfectly to the everyday stress of life in a digital age. Premiere: Róisín Murphy - Ten Miles High - System Of Survival + Derrick Carter Remixes

We looove how hard Róisín Murphy is coming for everyone's wig with her Take Her Up To Monto album era. She snatching 'em right off people's scalps! Album wonder + stellar single/video Ten Miles High is getting the remix treatment with mixes that goes deep and hard. Both the System Of Survival & Derrick Carter remixes are minimal and sweet with the latter borrowing more from the album version than the former that instead goes on a gleaming odyssey in the name of house. Both sicknin' and we just wanna d.a.n.c.e. in a darkly lit London club stat. Top notch!

Exciting times in the wondrous realm of Róisín Murphy! Her upcoming album Take Her Up To Monto is out next week on the 8th for starters! We officially cannot wait. Luckily for us all - brand new track Romantic Comedy just dropped to tide us ovah. This new album is shaping up to a cousin to her 2005 solo debut Ruby Blue. It's equally as thrilling with these new tracks and how disjointed and dreamy they are. Listen below to the slick arthouse feel with a hot side of 8-bit and those now iconic and patented vocals. Ya'll, we can all go home now. Róisín Murphy just released Ten Miles High and is snatching wigs left and right. To her brand new, stellar track we're getting a self directed and self styled gorgeous n' nuts video and the combined result is genius. She loves the brutalism aesthetics and we don't blame her. She knows how to combine tough elements with softer and really work through her ideas and push her own boundaries. It's so wonderfully disjointed here but held together beautifully. The sharpness of the music paired with those iconic vocals and the visuals added - it's just so damn perfect. The new album Take Her Up To Monto is out on July 8th!
