Bastille Feat. O.N.E. - Thinkin Bout You (Frank Ocean Cover)

Bastille and their founder Dan Smith had a huge 2012 with their UK #1 debut album Bad Blood. Equally crazy was Frank Ocean's year with his massive Channel Orange breakthrough. More than fitting that all this talent come together in this breathtaking cover of heart wrenching and stunning Thinkin Bout You. To say we love the original is an understatement and this cover adds a layer that is hard to shake. Like being sucked into a beautiful nightmare. You can tell something is wrong but the beauty surrounding hides it. Dan's voice sparkles but underneith hides a dark strange voice and in the shadows lurks more. The xylophone by O.N.E. adds wonderful texture too. The Bastille EP Laura Palmer is out tomorrow! Enjoy! 

Natalia Kills - Problem (Kat Krazy Remix)

Natalia Kills rowdy and punky anthem Problem becomes what we'd classify as a killer stripper anthem if we'd ever venture into that profession! Kat Krazy replaces the guitars with dirty synths and a signature breakdown. Ever since Controversy we've had the feeling we're gonna hear more of her Prince-esque lyrics about every day life, haha. Thoughts?  

Dan Black Feat. Kelis - Hearts - Video Premiere

London's wonky pop maestro Dan Black has been working with Kelis for her upcoming album. Hearts was written with her in mind but Dan loved it so much he wanted to record it himself. The result is a duet that works really well for both! Win win! The video is a time-lapse feast shot on a goregous spring day in Paris. Since Kelis couldn't make it to the shoot she's integrated in a set of cards and it works so well. The song is a string driven electro pop number with a real awesome build up. Both voices complement each other and we're curious what the rest of this collaboration will sound like! Bring on both artist's album releases later this year!

Our brain creates images from a high school movie with a road movie theme and Guns and driving at night from this one. The perfect start to a Friday we'd say!
