The xx - Last Christmas (Wham! Cover) - Free Download

If anyone could make us have Last Christmas on r.e.p.e.a.t it'd have to be The xx. Wham!'s 1984 classic has been played to death and the covers can be overwhelmingly sweet. Ya'll know we need some angst, haha. Luckily Christmas is saved as The xx stopped by BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge and did a stunning version that hits us in all the right spots! It's so beautiful and amazing we're floored. It's like a brand new song! Enjoy! Download enabled below.

The xx - Chained - Video Premiere

One of our favourite tracks from The xx new album Coexist just got visuals to it - and they are mesmerizing. In Chained we get some truly gorgeous yet claustrophobic shots of the band in slow motion submerged in water. Could not be more fitting for the lyrics we say. Love the contrast of the sky paired with the shots above the water w the shadows underneath. Wonderful and poignant.

Winged or chained.
I ask you would you have stayed.
Did I hold you too tight?
Did I not let enough light in?

2:54 - Killer (Adamski & Seal Cover)

Growing up in front of MTV in the early 90's you could count on one video always being on heavy rotation on late nights - Adamski and Seal's insanely flawless Killer. That bassline! Those rough vocals. Argh, it's perfection. 2:54 sisters Hannah and Colette Thurlow are currently supporting The xx on tour and their version contains DNA strains of their xx relationship.
