Premiere: Giorgio Moroder Feat. Kylie Minogue - Right Here, Right Now

74 is the new 24 indeed! Legendary producer and artist Giorgio Moroder knows what he's talking about since he's celebrating his 75th b'day with a DJ tour this year! Teaming up with a whole court of music stars this is the first taster of his collaborations. Right Here, Right Now featuring Kylie Minogue is a disco stomper that utilizes both artists trademarks and strengths - soaring vocals, vocorder realness, heavy club beat and some strings! Check it out below! Thoughts?

Premiere: Giorgio Moroder - 74 Is The New 24

Absolute dance legend, music pioneer, Oscar winning badass producer Giorgio Moroder is back and will release his first album in 30 years! 74 Is the New 24 is set to drop in spring 2015 and will feature people like Britney Spears, Sia, Charli XCX, Kylie Minogue and Mikky Ekko. WOW. That is an amazing list! The lead (and title) single sounds like a sweet continuation of his pioneering electronic 1977 album From Here To Eternity. The vocorder and upbeat electronic. Now mixed with some real guitars! The title alone gives us life and we cannot wait for the Moroder DJ tour next year when he turns 75. Catch him if you can! "Dance music doesn’t care where you live. It doesn’t care who your friends are. It doesn’t care how much money you make. It doesn't care if you're 74 or if you are 24 because… 74 is the new 24!"

Premiere: Blondie - Call Me (2014 Version)

Legends Blondie are truly forever and ever and this just released material proves it. They've teamed up with legendary producer Giorgio Moroder and re-recorded their 1980 monster hit Call Me. He was the original producer and also wrote the music so it's all in the family for sure. Released February 1st 1980 for the American Gigolo soundtrack it spent 6 weeks at the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. It's truly an iconic piece new wave and with that instantly recognizable intro. This re-recorded version follows the original closely and we're kinda blown away by the fact that it's coming up to 35 years between the different versions. Say whaat?! It sounds tight and like they had loads of fun revisiting their own catalogue so who can not like this? The whole album Greatest Hits: Deluxe Redux is a 40 year anniversary gift of brand new re-recordings and out now! Listen below! Thoughts?

Premiere: Haim - Forever (Giorgio Moroder Remix)

Super hyped sister trio Haim meet legendary producer Giorgio Moroder in the remix to Forever. The original mix with its organic and vibrant sound gets serious competition from an exquisite dance beat and full on Moroder vocorder realness! We love the clipped vocal style paired with that fantastic piano and drum machine programming too. Imagine a full on collaboration on the next Haim album. The best of both worlds meeting for a full on jam session. Nice! Thoughts?

Premiere: Donna Summer - Sunset People (Hot Chip 15:51 Min Extended Remix)

The amazing Donna Summer remix album Love To Love You Donna is out now and look at the treat we have! Hot Chip's stunning take on Sunset People is featured twice on the album as edits and here's the full remix, clocking in at almost 16 minutes! It's a luxurious listen to say the least and the reference to Love To Love You Baby's original length of 16:50 is almost blinding us with bright disco lights. We love the new tempo and the added beeps and blips that makes it trademarked with the Hot Chipness of it all. The Pete Bellotte and Giorgio Moroder produced single was originally released in the summer of 1980 becoming a moderate hit. As it was taken from her iconic 1979 Bad Girls album it meant Casablanca Records owned it. Donna herself had moved on by then to Geffen and left disco music behind her (or so she thought) and was getting ready for a new album era with The Wanderer. She felt sexually exploited by her old label and had redicovered her Christian faith in the process. Hearing this superb remix it's mind blowing to think of all the politics behind it all back in the day. It however does not take away from being a stunning disco number then and a slice of electro heaven now. Enjoy below! Thoughts?
