Premiere: Blondie - Long Time (Hercules & Love Affair Remix)

Blondie returning to a band sound and to form is bloody fantastic and we've had superb single Long Time on repeat all spring! THE VIDEO is beyond, too! Debbie Harry sounds fantastic and the fact that she co-wrote it with Dev Hynes makes us incredibly happy. Both are so talented and fearless! To have Hercules & Love Affair joining the party with a fabulous remix is almost too much, haha. Premiere: Blondie - Long Time

Words cannot truly express the happiness we feel to hear how fantastic and dynamic Blondie as a band is sounding right now! Their Pollinator album era is shaping up to be bloody gorgeous! The album drops May 5th and Long Time is out n o w and what a track! Co-written by fabulous Dev Hynes and harks back to their disco days, namely Heart Of Glass, but still has its gaze fixed on the road ahead. It's fun, tight and sounds like a true band playing together with all the energy that brings. Debbie Harry's voice, iconic as it is, soars over all that goodness and infuses with her wondrous talent. LOVE!  

Premiere: Blondie - Fun

In a world of uncertainty it's amazing to see Blondie keep on doing their thing. Fun in collaboration with Dave Sitek is the lead single to new album Pollinator (out May 5th) which will have collaborations with Sia, Blood Orange, Charli XCX and Laurie Anderson to name but a few on it. WOW! This first taste whoever sounds classic Blondie with nods to both new wave and disco just like in their 70's nights at Studio 54. Debbie is 71 y.o now and we just hope we get to have this much fun if/when we reach her age. WERK IT! 

Premiere: Blondie - Call Me (2014 Version)

Legends Blondie are truly forever and ever and this just released material proves it. They've teamed up with legendary producer Giorgio Moroder and re-recorded their 1980 monster hit Call Me. He was the original producer and also wrote the music so it's all in the family for sure. Released February 1st 1980 for the American Gigolo soundtrack it spent 6 weeks at the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. It's truly an iconic piece new wave and with that instantly recognizable intro. This re-recorded version follows the original closely and we're kinda blown away by the fact that it's coming up to 35 years between the different versions. Say whaat?! It sounds tight and like they had loads of fun revisiting their own catalogue so who can not like this? The whole album Greatest Hits: Deluxe Redux is a 40 year anniversary gift of brand new re-recordings and out now! Listen below! Thoughts?

Legendary new wavers Blondie are back and this time around they are doing everything themselves! Upcoming album Ghosts of Download will be released independently + the summer tour kicks off tomorrow in Tetbury, Cotswolds of all places! Lead single A Rose By Any Name with its Shakespearean title and features bad ass Beth Ditto is a stomper that we can see lift any live set! Kudos for taking charge and becoming a DIY band - very punk rock!
