Premiere: Beth Ditto - Fire

Beth Ditto's solo career is literally on Fire and we love it! After her glorious 2011 EP produced by Simian Mobile Disco we've been craving more, more, more. Her debut solo album Fake Sugar will be out on June 16th - this first taster harks more back to her Gossip band days than her electro EP. We don't mind one bit though. Fire has a slow and steady groove that makes us think of Johnny Cash a bit and Beth's iconic vocals really gets to shine. Imagine this one live in small and sweaty club setting - OMG. Enjoy below! Premiere: Cerrone Feat. Beth Ditto - Supernature (Alan Braxe Mix)

It seems like Beth Ditto's cover of 1977 classic Supernature with French duo The Shoes became a real favourite with the originator. This as Cerrone invited to lay down a new version for his upcoming greatest hits package. Cool cat Alan Braxe is on the mix and it's a smoove for sure that follows the original more than the version from last year. The two things that we're a bit hesitant over is the cricket (?) sound - is that really on the final mix? And also it's a bit of a shame that they've polished the powerhouse Ditto vocals in this version. She's a belter - get used to it! Anyway, it's cool so listen belooow. Love the gold visuals, too! 

Premiere: Marc Almond Feat. Beth Ditto - When The Comet Comes

Absolute legend Marc Almond is back with a brand new pop album! The Velvet Trail drops on March 9th and features 16 brand new tracks. H e a v e n! Lead single When The Comet Comes has amazing Beth Ditto (!) as a duet partner. Over a real nice and fluffy beat we're getting two of our favourite voices, both equally as distinct and unique. The whole album is produced by Chris Braide who previously has worked with people like Lana Del Rey, Beyoncé and Britney Spears. Pretty intriguing to hear an easy accessible song coming to life with the power of Almond and Ditto. Listen below to the really great BBC Radio Leeds interview from Monday - song at the 06:04 mark. It's a joy to listen to and like we said just over two weeks ago - we love the dramatic (and iconic) strings and heavy drums paired with those patented Ditto vocals. Imagine a whole Beth Shoes album - it would be so fantastic! Listen, listen and enjooooy!

Arkansas badass Beth Ditto and French electronic duo The Shoes have teamed up for Supernature - a killer new take on Cerrone's 1977 dance classic! They live premiered it at the Canal+ 30th anniversary special this week and the studio version drops later this month. We love the dramatic strings and heavy drums paired with those patented Ditto vocals. The production is tight and flawless and that growl near the end is just superb!
