Premiere: First Aid Kit - My Silver Lining

First Aid Kit are readying Stay Gold, their third album, and we cannot wait! The title alone! It's out June 10th and first taster, My Silver Lining, is already here. Much like 2012's perfect The Lion's Roar the whole album is produced by Bright Eyes' Mike Mogis. The Omaha Symphony Orchestra will also be featured this time around which sounds amazing. We have to say that it's Klara and Johanna Söderberg's vocals and insane harmonies that we wanna come back to. They'd be perfect with just a guitar or acapella to be honest. This new single continues in the Americana tradition the Swede sisters have become famous for and it kinda flows like water. It sounds like it could easily be a standard from a remote mountain side community. Nice! Let's indeed stay gold and keep on keeping on! Check out the album trailer here. Enjoy!  

First Aid Kit - Wolf - Video Premiere

First Aid Kit's album The Lion's Roar is one of our most played this year by far. It's so good! We love how they do Americana and for Wolf we'd swear it's an old roots classic. Nope, it's Klara and Johanna Söderberg's original and their latest single. Interestingly this is actually the iTunes bonus track. Could a new deluxe version be in the works? First Aid Kit - Live @ Bestival 2012

 We're madly in love with First Aid Kit's The Lion's Roar, def one of the best albums of the year! Johanna and Klara Söderberg graced the stage at this year's Bestival on the Isle of Wright in the UK, and we love to see them play live. Such talents! Polar Music Prize 2012 - Musical Performances

The equivalent to a Nobel Prize for a musician would have to be the Polar Music Prize. This years recipients are Paul Simon and Yo-Yo Ma, who both traveled to Sweden to accept. Both are exceptional at their craft and truly well deserved winners. Some of Sweden's finest contemporary artists paid tribute - and below are what we gathered from our beloved youtube! Really amazing to see the reaction from Paul Simon watching and taking in the moment. Must be such an emotional roller coaster hearing your babies like this sitting next to the Swedish royals and being so in the spotlight for your life accomplishments. Enjoy!

First Aid Kit - Blue - Video Premiere

Super talented sibling duo First Aid Kit have been riding high on their latest album The Lion's Roar - and with good reason as it's excellent! The video to Blue is set in a gorgeous summery Sweden and starring actress Ewa Fröling. She's a reclusive and saddened woman living in a massive house on her own longing for love. The ending is just amazing! Very fitting for their type of stuff! Enjoy!
