Calvin Harris Feat. Florence Welch - Sweet Nothing (Diplo & Grandtheft Remix)

Calvin Harris and Florence Welch is a real winning combination as they scored their second UK #1 on Sunday with Sweet Nothing. Congrats! (The first being this one.) To add more oomph and sass to the mix we get this booty shaking ready remix from Diplo and Grandtheft! We so wanna see ass shakin' videos in Express Yourself style to this one, haha. Plz! It starts off all nice mellow and continues with a build-up that's made for some cheek action. Never thought we'd write in a post including Flo but we're more than happy to do so. That's all for now. Enjoy!

Update: Calvin Harris' album 18 Months on which Sweet Nothing can be found comes out on Monday and he just released a full album stream here

The Casket Girls - Heartless

The Casket Girls makes us think of a brilliant movie in bright colors about 3 friends leaving all behind to start a band in an abandoned villa somewhere strange and remote. The trio consists of Ryan Graveface creating the music and playing all instruments and sisters Elsa and Phaedra Greene writing the lyrcis and singing. Heartless plays like a sure fire indie disco number and the slightly dead vocal delivery paired with those sick drums only highlights how good it is. Lovely!

Fleetwood Mac - Dreams (Gigamesh Edit)

Gigamesh gently remixes Fleetwood Mac's iconic 1977 track Dreams and the result is impossible to not have on repeat. Stevie Nicks voice and its expression is unparalleled and one of our all time favourites. She sounds good no matter the backing track and this new beat only makes us wanna dance even more. Thinking the original came out 35 years ago and the Rumours album has sold 40 million copies it still sounds as fresh as ever. Lovely!

Rhye - The Fall - Video - Live Version + Maurice Fulton Alt Mix

We're playing Rhye's The Fall and have teenage summers swish before our eyes. Something in the wistfulness and gorgeous instrumentation evokes some heavy imagery on our part. Not to mention the amazing video and duality of it all. The thing we call life that sometimes haunts us, and all the choices we make, or have made for us. Looking back. Wondering. The rawness of the simplistic live version brings it out even further. The Maurice Fulton take confuses us a bit, haha. The groove paired with those sad lyrics hurts a bit. It's in all good order though. Perhaps this is what the party goers are dancing to in the video? This duo record in Copenhagen, but are based in L.A so there's a lot of duality there too. Looking forward getting to know them more for sure! Thanks Morten!

Hercules And Love Affair - Release Me (Original Mix) - Premiere

Hercules And Love Affair and mastermind Andy Butler drops their DJ-Kicks compilation the 29th. On it we get a brand new track from them - Release Me. So nice! It's co-written and features New York DJ Whitney Fierce, and we adore her voice. Alsooo, the 8-bit sounds and the over all retro feel really gets us going + the groove is awesome! For the Andy Butler & Mark Pistel remix click here

"I wrote this song with my friend DJ Whitney Fierce. She is a great dj, and very knowledgable about dance music from many cultures. She also rocks food coloring for hair dye, which makes her very tasty in my book because it makes me think of Mink Stole, a great actress from Baltimore in some of John Water's films. This song lies somewhere between Stock Aitken and Waterman and Manchester's Hacienda sound, while Whitney sounds very Bananarama on it. Mark Pistel busted out his E- Max on this recording with some original samples he compiled in 91, so that made us all dance in the studio." - Andy Butler
