Premiere: Stevie Nicks - Lady

New Stevie Nicks! She releases the album 24 Karat Gold - Songs From The Vault on October 7th - containing a glimpse into her songwriting between 1969 to 1987. Lead single The Dealer has been floating around in various demo versions but second single Lady is a never before heard track - ever. Written around 1971 it was recorded onto a cassette and then kept in a treasured box at Stevie's mother Barbara's house for 40 years. WOW. It's a beautiful song reflecting on life in kind of a blues style. LOVE the lone piano and the raw vocals. The talent in abundance is here on full display and we love the idea how this song has been waiting around for close to half a century to be unleashed. Amazing!

Premiere: Stevie Nicks - The Dealer

The amazing Stevie Nicks drops her new album 24 Karat Gold - Songs From The Vault on October 6th and it'll contain brand new recordings of mythical songs from her 1969 to 1987 catalogue. Lead single The Dealer never made it past the demo stage for her 1981 solo debut album Bella Donna. Back then it went under the name "The Dealer (aka Mistress of My Fate)" and ended up scrapped entirely. Various demos has surfaced during the years since then and has become a true fan favourite. Listen to 'em here! This new version sounds a lil' country, ya'll, and not at all like the demo version using a drum machine for instance. It still sounds brooding but perhaps a bit more friendly and less urgent. We can however see this being a live favourite if she plays it during the Fleetwood Mac tour later this year. Listen below! Thoughts?

Video Premiere: Lana Del Rey - West Coast

Lana Del Rey's West Coast video is hotly anticipated and already feels legendary as there will be a new version tomorrow. Will they scrap this one altogether or just minor tweaks even a new edit? This one has Lana moving in between carefree on the beach with one lover to looking darker in the backseat of a car with another. Interesting to see the use of elements such as fire and water to describe perhaps some inner turmoil. Watch below! We'll post any new video as it drops. Update: Here's the HQ version - same edit though!

Premiere: Lana Del Rey - West Coast

Lana Del Rey's West Coast just premiered on BBC Radio 1 and kicks off her hotly anticipated Ultraviolence era! Wow, it's dark and raw with live drums and sounds less polished than her Born To Die album, at least on first listen. PLUS she samples Stevie Nicks' Edge of Seventeen. HOT! We'll return with some more thoughts later on, enjoy!

Free Download: Stevie Nicks - Stand Back (F82 Remix)

Stevie Nicks' immortal 1983 monster hit Stand Back is one song we can never grow tired of even if we tried. Her iconic voice, that tight electronic production, amazing lyrcis and then synthesizers by an uncredited Prince. So much to love! Not forgetting the early 80's video + the first insane version that ended up being deleted + that stellar Solid Gold performance. Argh! It's too much! São Paulo based Brazilian DJ F82 does a superb job updating the production gearing it towards a big outdoor party under a glowing night sky. The highlighted bass, guitar and keyboards really shine and makes us wanna dançar our ass off! Gostoso! For the full backstory by Stevie herself click here.
