Premiere: Aretha Franklin - Rolling In The Deep (Adele Cover)

Imagine writing a song about a crazy breakup you had at 20 y.o and a few years later Aretha Franklin releases that very same song as a lead single. Well that's exactly what's happened to Adele and her contemporary evergreen Rolling In The Deep. The original video has over half a billion views (!) and we have a feelin' there's gonna be a renewed interest right about now. Aretha will release her ...Sings The Great Diva Classics on October 21st and we sure hope there's gonna be some behind the scenes footage of her singing this one. Just hearing her use the word shit in a song, haha. Git it Aretha! She takes it to church for sure and it's a real treat hearing her iconic vocals take on contemporary material. Remember when she sang the underwear off Mariah Carey's Touch My Body a few years back?! Sure, we'd loved if her voice wasn't so manipulated and was kept a bit more raw + not sure how they came up with mixing in Ain't No Mountain High Enough - that's kind of the antithesis to Adele's firey rage. More anger and less flat production... Anyway...welcome back Ms. Franklin!   

Adele - Skyfall (James Bond Theme Song) - World Premiere

Adele's James Bond theme Skyfall was supposed to premiere tonight just after midnight BST but a French radio station bet everyone to it by premiering it just now! We love that it feels like a true Adele track with a gorgeous infusion of that classic Bond feel. Adele and Paul Epworth really nailed it! The icy strings and drama is perfect with her big voice and such a nice compliment with the choir! It's very 70's in the best way possible! The world ending never sounded so good we think. Adele - Skyfall (James Bond Theme Song) - Preview

It's been long talked about - and here is the first taster! 90 seconds of Adele's James Bond song Skyfall for the movie of the same name! Written by Adele herself and Paul Epworth we say she's nailed it really with finding that classic Bond feel and yet keep her own style. Well, really, she's perfect for it! A lone piano at first, then lush strings and a dramatic horn section kicks in. Wow, the iTunes pre-order was out a mere hour without the option to preview the tracks and someone must've managed to rip it anyway. Since this is the exact same length as those previews we mean.
