Woodkid - Someone Like You (Adele Cover)

"I was kinda bored today so I quickly recorded a cover of this beautiful song on my piano by the amazing Adele." And so begins our love affair with Woodkid's take on Someone Like You. It definitely stays true to the original, but the vocal delivery lifts it to unexpected heights. Yoann Lemoine is the man behind it, and usually works as a video and film director working with people like Katy Perry and Yelle. His videos are produced by David LaChappelle's and Hyper Williams production company. He has also won 5 lions at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. We were so impressed with Adele's concert during the iTunes Festival last month. Her Bonnie Raitt cover I Can't Make You Love Me struck a chord with us and we've been playing it over and over. Adele - Live @ iTunes Festival!

We were laying on top of our bed last night with our laptop and got treated to an amazing concert - Adele headlining the iTunes Festival. Her first performance after bouncing back from her laryngitis. She was drinking honey water and during parts of the show you could tell she was a bit unwell still, and so sweet about it. She also did a stunning cover of Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me. If you missed it or wanna revisit check 'em out belooow! Love her!
