Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe is one of the biggest hits of the year here on Earth! Naturally word has spread, and quickly to other galaxies. Turns out it's starting to become huge in the Galactic Empire - but as a cover! Watch some of the most recognized celebrities from this galaxy spanning regime turn it o.u.t. Wow! We'll call for sure!
Since Madonna is using the world's largest video screen on her current MDNA tour - she better fill it with some kickass backdrops! Last week we posted the Justify My Love film - and going to her show in Copenhagen last week it really stood out. So did her Nobody Knows Me - we love that M throws in some social commentary in all her recent tours. Remember her Get Stupid from 2009's Sticky & Sweet. Nobody has some real powerful imagery especially those who are no longer with us because of bullying that really hit home with us. Have a look at the HQ below!
Madonna's much talked about Justify My Love backdrop video for her MDNA Tour just got wings and landed in our lap in HD! It's one of our favourite M tracks so how brilliant that it's getting a new audience! Her vocals are pitched and intercepted with a demonish laughter so perhaps it's not something to put on if you wanna sex someone up, haha. The video itself is a slice of Madonna heaven, she looks dirty hot and reminds us of German expressionistic film. Have a look! Thoughts?
Be still our beating heart! Our beloved Chloe Sevigny just sent this postcard from Outfest's30 year celebration! Since she's wearing a River Island maxi-skirt we're thinking she was up to some shenanigans with Haley-Joel Osment and John Waters after those Absolut cocktails! So it wouldn't matter if she didn't remember it in the morning perhaps? As you might remember we got a shout out from the lady herself in her last video March - if you wanna revisit that! Enjoy!
Shia LaBeouf and Denna Thomsen star in Alma Har'el's short film to Sigur Rós' gorgeous Fjögur Píanó. Set to become viral as they're both naked in the beginning with Shia showing full frontal. We love how this instrumental track gets such a wonderful treatment visually. It's beautiful and nightmarish all in one go. Is it reality or a dream? Heaven or hell? Pain or pleasure? The questions are many. If you watch nothing else this week, this one would be it. The film is part of the Valtari Mystery Film Experiment - sigur rós have given a dozen film makers the same modest budget and asked them to create whatever comes into their head when they listen to songs from the band's new album valtari. the idea is to bypass the usual artistic approval process and allow people utmost creative freedom. among the filmmakers are ramin bahrani, alma har'el and john cameron mitchell.
"we never meant our music to come with a pre-programmed emotional response. we don’t want to tell anyone how to feel and what to take from it. with the films, we have literally no idea what the directors are going to come back with. none of them know what the others are doing, so hopefully it could be interesting."
