Premiere: Röyksopp & Robyn - Do It Again (Zoo Station Remix)

Röyksopp & Robyn unleashed their crazy awesome party anthem Do It Again upon the world and yeah it hurts so good, so let's do it again - one more time, let's do it again! Argh! Where's the nearest rave?! UK production team Zoo Station has had the amazing job to create the first remix and we're sure it's been so much fun since the original is so insanely hot. Toned down are some of the more complex undertones and we get a more to the point dance anthem. An analogy would be that sometimes you want a drink that takes a while to make and then drink, and other times you really, really want tequila shots and start the d.a.n.c.e. Listen below! Thoughts? 

Premiere: Grace Jones - Me! I Disconnect From You (Radio Edit)

The 1981 album Nightclubbing by Grace Jones has become iconic for its Jean-Paul Goude artwork and perfect blend of fire and ice musically. It's also her best seller. It was the second of her legendary Compass Point trilogy and truly cemented her then new look and sound. Up until 1980 Grace was known as a disco artist, but with the harder image came her new wave inspired era propelling her into the stratosphere of true badassness. The whole album is being released on April 28th as a deluxe set in various formats containing 12", b-sides and two until now unreleased tracks from the Bahamas recording sessions. Her Gary Numan and Tubeway Army cover Me! I Disconnect From You has until today been hidden away for over 30 years. Wow! Her version replaces the icy production of the original with a flowing reggae beat and a tweeting bird. If this flawless track was stored away, imagine what else is lurking in the Island Records vaults! The mind races to say the least. This is the radio and the album version will add two more minutes of goodness. If You Wanna Be My Lover is the second previously unreleased track we're gonna get to hear and we cannot wait! Premiere: St. Vincent - Prince Johnny

Annie Clark a.k.a St. Vincent stopped by the KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic radio show today and premiered her new song Prince Johnny. We're mad about the elegant and swirling atmosphere. Like extorting a piece of the Berlin wall and snort it never sounded so heart warming and sweet, haha. We're all someone's child and yes sometimes we long for that person who'll make us feel real and see us for who we are. It's dreamy and makes our head spin a bit, yes it's that good! Perfect even! The new self-titled album drops on February 25th and we're gonna snap it up the second it drops. Enjoy!  

Premiere: Neneh Cherry Feat. Robyn - Out of The Black (Bouvet Radio Mix)

Wow, Out of The Black literally comes brand new Neneh Cherry and Robyn music! We knew they had collaborated on a track for Neneh's upcoming Blank Project album and suspected it would be geared towards single material. Well, this radio mix by Norwegian producer Bouvet sounds like it's a programmers dream. It reminds a bit of Röyksopp and we feel like crusin' down the PCH or something with this on full blast! Of course the album track could be, and probably is, a 180 from this take - but so good to hear a bit of what they worked on during last summer. The album is out Feb 25th and the full Bouvet remix will be featured on the bonus disc of the physical release. Enjoy! Thoughts?

Update: Looks like Bouvet themselves or their label changed their minds as the stream is gone. We'll keep you posted when it's back again! 

Update 2: ...and here is the album version! A lot more organic than the radio mix just like we thought! The Four Tet production sounds like it could be a spontaneous jam sessions at Neneh's house! Thoughts?

World Premiere: Nina Persson - Animal Heart

We're majorly excited right now! Nina Persson just world premiered her solo debut single Animal Heart on Swedish radio and just the intro alone make us crazy nuts! The 80's keyboard references are just too good! We're trying not to be bias as we love her bands The Cardigans and A Camp, plus used to live and socialize in the same neighbourhood earlier. It's wild to think that she's about to release her solo debut album in early 2014 - after more than 20 years in the game! We had no idea what to expect sound wise but we really like the mix of synth and singer songwriter, although we wouldn't have minded one bit if the former had taken up more space. The flow is gorgeous and we love Nina's powerful vocals, her depth and crystal clear tone are to die for. Listen below! Thoughts? Update: Nina just released the video! Set in her new home of Harlem we get to follow her around in a one take video. It even looks like the brownstone could be her own actual home. We like the idea a lot, and would have loved if the quirkiness was even more amped up! We want moooore! Love the way she sometimes stares at the camera. True villain look!
