Ellie Goulding - Halcyon Remixed 13.1 - Free Download

Ellie Goulding and her running partner Nike just released a free remixed version of Halcyon. This (apart from the commercial value) to inspire women to run a half marathon on April 28th as Ellie will be doing so in Washington DC. We really love several of the remixes from this album so how awesome to have a mixtape of them all + we're starting our summer running this week! Enjoy below! For the track list click here

Del Marquis of the Scissor Sisters and his partner in crime n' clubbing Xavier have teamed up and recorded a mixtape that makes us all giddy and hot. Late nights in 2002 spring to mind in fact! Tickle's lead single Let Me Tickle Your Fancy is a groovy & retro tinged track + it gets a super sweet remix from Prince Vince, listen to that one below. We dare you to be able to sit still! Nice Day For A White Christmas Mixtape

We woke up to a white and snowy world today! How fitting since it's advent season and all. This all spells christmas music, mulled wine and gingerbread cookies today, at least for us. Our classic holiday mix still holds its own for sure. We're absolutely wild about El Perro Del Mar's Oh! What a Christmas with its nod to Phil Spector, Feist's take on the classic hymn Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming and Elvis' amazing vocals. Plus no christmas is complete without Judy Garland and Ella Fitzgerald and the rest of the gang of course. Incredibly good music! Enjoy and have a great start to the holiday season!

El Perro Del Mar - Oh! What A Christmas
She & Him - The Christmas Waltz
Elvis Presley - If Every Day Was Like Christmas
Low - Just Like Christmas
Darlene Love - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
Feist - Lo, How a Rose e're Blooming
Ella Fitzgerald - O Holy Night
The Raveonettes - The Christmas Song
Hurts - All I Want For Christmas Is New Years Day
John & Yoko and The Plastic Ono Band - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
Judy Garland - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
First Aid Kit - Blue Christmas
Johnny Cash - Silent Night
Stevie Wonder - One Little Christmas Tree
Jens Lekman - Run Away With Me

Azealia Banks - Atlantis - Video Premiere

Azealia Banks continues her love affair with the 90's in her Atlantis video from her brilliant Fantasea mixtape. Seapunk gurl! Her flow be sick as per usual and the visuals are straight up Ecco The Dolphin '92 and screen saver '98 realness! Someone wants new .gifs on tumblr, haha. Since this clocks in at just over 2 minutes we're thinking this could be a stop over for even greater things pretty soon. She dropped a commercial for Asos containing her Firece a few days ago so can we hope for a full release with a badass video? Plz!

Madonna - 30th Anniversary Mixtape

Today, 30 years ago, Madonna's debut single Everybody was released. The sleeve did not feature her and it was mainly a club record as it missed to enter the Billboard Hot 100. We absolutely love that beginning! So underground and really opening up for anything to happen. Everybody was recorded in New York during the summer of 1982 on her own budget, Madonna was 24 and had a $5,000 advance from the label and a two 12 inch single deal with Sire Records. We all know what came of it - some 300 million records sold since. It's mind boggling to even think about what she's accomplished since those early Danceteria club nights!

We've been thinking about a fun way to say Happy Anniversary  - and came to think of the notes in Something To Remember from 1995.
"So much controversy has swirled around my career this past decade that very little attention ever gets paid to my music."

So to kick off the celebration we penetrated the surface and have put together 12 amazing album cuts that stretch from her 1983 debut album to 2012's MDNA. For us, M has always been about the music first - and we love the rawness and frankness of these tracks. From her singing about the loss of her mother to social commentary to the wetness of oral sex. It's all there! For Madonna performing Everybody for the very first time in 1982 click here! Enjoy!
Also, if you head on over to M's official site she's having a contest to celebrate with some awesome prizes.
