Wow, this is so cool! Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence album contains the rock hard gem Fucked My Way Up To The Top and its sharpness with dreamy qualities makes it ace. In the hands of Adelaide based producer Edin Hodžić a.k.a. Kudo the emotional charge changes. With the harder production behind it, Lana's voice sounds more urgent and it's really interesting listening to both back to back. Same vocal delivery but different emotions when hearing it. Love the electronic production of the music - it's tight and layered with sounds without losing the minimalistic approach and focus. Top notch! Listen + download below!

Tracy Chapman is an amazing storyteller and her voice seems to have magical powers to carry emotions in a way that is truly outstanding. Fast Car was the lead single to her self-titled 1988 debut album. When she performed it at Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday tribute at a packed Wembley Arena she, in a very understated way, sang herself into the history books. Her debut album is one of those that is a gem that will never stop selling. The story of a checkout girl dreaming of getting away from her hopeless surroundings and finding a new better life brings tears to our eyes every time we hear it. The original's iconic guitar riff is kept front and center in this Jolique bootleg and the added club vibe is really interesting. Like Tracy's girl perhaps finally gets a break and can go out and have some fun with friends and finding that elusive happiness that somewhere is lurking around the corner. FKA twigs unleashed her brand of self-directed spooky veil birth & forest voguing earlier this week - we love it! Glass & Patron is a wonderful mix of style, substance and naturally a sick and disjointed beat set to amazing choreography and stunning visuals. Miami producer Nuri sets the scene even further by going into a dark and feverish mode in this sicknin' bootleg. We're truly transfixed by Björk's Vulnicura album era. It's so sad and beautiful and defiant and gorgeous all wrapped up with a black bow. The new word Notget alone makes us shiver with both joy and pain. The removal of the space between the words - amazing. Denver based producer ill-ēsha takes the original mix and drops her own beat on it in the space between a remix and a re-edit. It allows the sun to shine a bit on the darkness which is something we all need sometimes. We have the official remix from Lotic to turn to if we need some fragmented sorrow again. Enjoy below!

But we want mooore and it's been a bit quiet lately. Nathan Zorndorf a.k.a. NAEKID sorts this out with his badass deep house remix of Ultraviolence! Love how Lana's vocals kinda floats around like a restless ghost, forever haunted by her insane man and his crazy ways. It's a stark contrast to the catchy and tight production that is so well made and would fit any official remix EP. It's dark, fun, cohesive and disjointed all at once.
