New gorgeous Clare Maguire was just what we needed. Her voice is stellar! Elizabeth Taylor pays tribute to overcoming hardships and being resilient - traits the real woman possessed in great amounts. Clare's vocals are so emotive and the music is just so good. Those delicate strings and the piano that really drives home the message of the song. Upcoming album Stranger Things Have Happened is out May 27 and we cannot wait. 

Premiere: Katy B & Chris Lorenzo - I Wanna Be

Katy B's collaborative album project Honey is out April 29th and we honestly cannot wait. Filled to the brim with B goodness + a stellar list of collaborators. Amazing! New single I Wanna Be features stellar Birmingham producer Chris Lorenzo and hot damn this is so good. Against a deep house beat we get lush vocals with a warmth that transcends listening to a recorded take. It's like she's in the speakers! The production is impeccable pairing soft and harder elements and a groove that complements the finished result to the absolute maximum. Top notch! 

Introducing: HIPS - Get Up

L.A duo HIPS call themselves HIPSFORLIFE on SoundCloud and this ain't no understatement. Their still unmastered song Get Up mops the floor with us all with its hot beat, badass lyrics and sweet harmonies. It's d.a.n.c.e. and d.i.s.c.o. vibes all 'round and the retro vibe is really well crafted and cool. It's so visual it's crazy - we get vivid images listening of a night out clubbing with an 80's look and bodies grindin' to this and Prince. Top marks! 

Premiere: Shura - Touch (Four Tet Remix)

Gah, how good is this?! Brilliant Shura's slow burner Touch meets the stellar action of Four Tet and the outcome is naturally perfection. The combination of the lush vocals, sadness of the lyrics and intricate beat is just really gorgeous. It's soothing yet comands you to listen. Shiny yet flecked with dark matter. Love it! LUCKILY for us Shura just announced as well that her debut album Nothing's Real is out on July 8. Cannot wait!  

Premiere: Bat For Lashes - In God's House

OMG, literally - new Bat For Lashes! Last month we got the romance tinged I Do that had us thinking Natasha Khan had gone all wedding singer on us. And yes she might - her upcoming album is called The Bride. However, In God's House is a brooding single filled to the brim with darkness and urgent emotional outpouring. Leave it to BFL to create a wedding themed album filled with dark streaks and throbbing electro beats. Speakin' of those - how gorgeous does this sound?! It's a gleaming bed of synths with sublime production. Top marks!
