Introducing: Seaker - After I'm Gone

We're wild for London based Kiran Hungin a.k.a. Seaker's voice. Her voice is soul piercing and really reaches in and grabs you. It's commanding without being intrusive - very impressive! After I'm Gone - we're getting slivers of both Kate Bush and Sade when listening with Seaker being her own artist most definitely. Her tone is her own and it's rich and dark, especially over the brooding music that both haunts and is soothing. Lyrically she reads like poetry and each word sounds carefully selected and truly gleams. Cannot wait to hear more!   

Premiere: Carmody - Skin

London based Carmody releases her debut Lil EP on April 29th. All the reasons are there to get excited as solo debut single Skin is a brilliant song that sinks it's sweet hooks into you from the very start. What a gorgeous and sparse intro! And it builds and builds with a brilliant guitar and layered vocals, sent from another realm surely. The depth and pull from the brooding sounds paired with the airy lightness of other aspects is just ace. The lyrics about finding someone in the skin is just - wow. It sounds both like a good idea and then again not. The pull and tug from different perspectives is simply awesome. Top marks Carmody! 

Introducing: Bloodboy - Human Female

Absolutely lovin' the debut single from Bloodboy! Human Female is rich with amazing textures. The vocals are front and center with absolute focus and really drives the song forward. The music is intricate with a dark deep tone and flawless effects that just sound so good. That steely guitar! The drum that really helps to hammer home the message of running, searching for meaning, and hoping. The whole track with its flawless production truly gleams like a dark jewel just waiting to be discovered, full of secrets and cuts like a knife. Under her birth name Lexie Papilion, Bloodboy was a competitive surfer in her native California - we're so happy she switched to music instead. We cannot wait to hear more! Love it! 

Premiere: Peaches Feat. Kim Gordon - Close Up (Nocturnal Sunshine Remix)

Peaches is still in RUB mode and we are so happy about that. Album opener Close Up featuring iconic Kim Gordon receives a Nocturnal Sunshine (a.k.a. Maya Jane Coles) remix and it sure is fire hot. The minimalistic tone from the original is still there but the rubbing is amped up. Nice! Perfect for darkly lit Berlin clubs with endless hours of clubbing. LOVE their super cool vocals over this throbbing beat. Luckily there's more - RUB REMIXED is out May 27th!
