Premiere: Peaches Feat. Kim Gordon - Close Up (Nocturnal Sunshine Remix)

Peaches is still in RUB mode and we are so happy about that. Album opener Close Up featuring iconic Kim Gordon receives a Nocturnal Sunshine (a.k.a. Maya Jane Coles) remix and it sure is fire hot. The minimalistic tone from the original is still there but the rubbing is amped up. Nice! Perfect for darkly lit Berlin clubs with endless hours of clubbing. LOVE their super cool vocals over this throbbing beat. Luckily there's more - RUB REMIXED is out May 27th!

Ella Fitzgerald – Blue Skies (Maya Jane Coles Remix)

The weekend is off to a flying start! The Verve Remix Series album The First Ladies is out next week and on it this gem can be found! Ella Fitzgerald's 1958 take on the 1926 Irving Berlin classic Blue Skies becomes a 2013 deep house anthem by amazing Maya Jane Coles. We're wild for that bass line and Ella sounds perfectly comforable on it. Since she was a master at any genre really we're sure she'd be up for singing this in a club. At least we can dream it! Tell us; how happy does this track make you?

Update: Here's the full album version!

The xx - Fiction (Maya Jane Coles Remix) + Video Premiere

The xx's new single is one of the standout tracks from the Co-exist album. Fiction is a distinct xx song with lyrics written entirely by Oliver Sim who does the lead as well. Love that drum program too btw! Acclaimed London DJ and producer Maya Jane Coles gives it a nice mellow club groove, perfect for any drink or after party. The video is dark and brooding by Canadian director Young Replicant and filmed in what looks like a dry hillside in California. Check it all out below! Thoughts?
