Introducing: Frances - Grow

Frances describes herself as a singer/songwriter and piano woman - yes she is! Grow is a stirring ballad about letting go of a loved one and growing from it. Out first thought was that both Tori Amos and Lorde can hear bits and pieces of their artistry coming through the speakers - nice! She has a lovely emotive tone and piano skillz for days. Backed by the same team as Sam Smith and Disclosure and premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 - expect to hear this soulful voice comin' for you with wisdoms left and right. ;) Enjoy! Thoughts? 

Madonna VS. Disclosure Feat. Sam Smith - Latch To Love

Wow, this sounds really awesome! Madonna's Rebel Heart lead single Living For Love has proved to be a real grower and we especially lover the gospel influences paired with that house beat. How awesome then to hear Sam Smith's soulful vocals from his 2012 Disclosure collaboration - Latch over it! The MDNA beat really suits Sam's voice; imagine a full collaboration between all three acts! *death drops* Since this mashup is so seamless this kinda needs to happen in the nearest of futures! Premiere: Mary J. Blige - Nobody But You

Yes, yes Mary! We love this new era and how cool to hear such diverse material. Mary J. Blige sounds like she's having a blast with her The London Sessions (out Nov 24th) material. For Nobody But You she teamed up again with Sam Smith for writing together and then UK house n' garage producer M.J. Cole to produce. The result is a holy trinity and how good it sounds! If someone had said this was a stellar classic from 1999 we'd believed 'em (almost, we know our stuff). The beat is so infectious and a real ray of concentrated sunshine. MJB on the mic sounds so amazing and effortless. It's a track that reminds us of a rainy London street, black cabs rushing by, a great song in your headphones and thinking about your most loved one. A streak of sadness perhaps, and then a smile 'cause it happened at all. Oh, Mary!   

Premiere: Mary J. Blige - Right Now

We've listened a lot to Mary J. Blige over the years and been waiting for a game change a bit. Her announcing new album The London Sessions was just perfect - recorded entirely in London with new UK acts. Lead single Right Now is co-written by Sam Smith, Jimmy Napes and Disclosure with production by the latter too and takes off where F For You left us earlier this year - but takes a more mellow route. Plus we're gettin' some 1992 Real Love vibes actually in the instrumentation- real nice! A lil' rough with a lotta heart and soul! The new album, her 13th, is out in November! Enjoy below!
