Róisín Murphy drops her Italian EP Mi Senti on May 28th and it's gonna be so awesome! Among the 4 covers of classic Italian pop songs comes a brand new song - In Sintesi. The groove is so addictive and instant - it holds its own for sure among the classics. Well no wonder really since it's Ró we're talking about! The vocals are perfect, bassline rumbling away and the atmosphere mysterious. È Perfetto! Created after she asked the team what in synthesis is called in Italian it's making us wanna take language classes stat! This project is a release via The Vinyl Factory and limited to one thousand physical. On May 28th we're gonna get a whole EP, Mi Senti, filled with five covers of classic Italian songs + one new original. Dio mio! Since this one is a release via The Vinyl Factory it'll limited to one thousand physical. Half will be signed by Ró! Judging by how good this is we love that she's said it was a struggle for her to sing these songs. Her talent is truly immense and we l.o.v.e how she pushes herself to explore new territories. Freeform Five and Róisín Murphy's perfect club banger Leviathan finally saw an official release two months ago after 4 years in limbo. Tied in with the remixes comes this beat less take that really shines a spotlight on Ró's vocals. We're so used to hearing her nowadays on club 12"'s so to have a minimalistic version like this makes us ache for a new Ruby Blue era. Later this spring she'll release an EP in Italian so let's seee what that brings forward. In the meantime, or is that mean time, haha, grab the download beloow! Enjoy! 

Premiere: Freeform Five Feat. Róisín Murphy - Leviathan

Freeform Five and Róisín Murphy finally decided to release Leviathan officially! We actually blogged about it 4 years ago and it was love at first listen. It's actually a bit of cruelty goin' on with new Ró collaborations being released from time to time, but no real Murphy album since 2007! Argh! We might have to do it ourselves as the song suggests. We're like a tormented lover over here, haha. Haunted by demons of new RóRó music, sobbing to her featuring moments, haha. Anyway, moving on - Leviathan, the word, is a monster of the sea referenced in the Old Testament and can be used to describe any large sea creature. Considering the 8+ minutes of the main mix and lengthy reform we're in for a beast of a listen, but certainly no burden. The vocals really shimmer over beats that pulsate like the most glorious night sky full of stars. The reform's dub qualities and deeper groove - so damn sexy it's insane! The full release drops next week on February 10th with a full remix package. The vinyl can be ordered here btw! Enjoooy!

Ooo, git it, git it! We're still waiting after 6 years for a full new Róisín Murphy album! Thankfully for our general health and sanity she's very generous lending her talent to badass collaborations. This time we're getting the flawless Alternate State by brand new club collective Hot Natured. Over a hypnotizing and deceptively minimalistic production is that distinctive and effortless Róisín magic and her coolness is just beyond. A truly gorgeous start to the debut album Different Sides of the Sun from Hot Natured that drops on September 2nd. Enjoy!
